Just got an email to say Friends Re-United has gone free. Inevitable after the take off of free social networking sites like Facebook. Do think it might be too little too late.

I am a member on Friends reunited but I don't use it any more TBH. Most of my friends have never updated their profile since the day we set up the accounts in our IT lesson and all the friends I want to keep in touch with are on FB.

I find the same. I wonder if they will survive much longer.

No one ever updates from my school either...although we don't even have a group on facebook...Friends Reunited was ok for the school reunion a few years ago though, and I do have a note that I have a message of an old friend this week (but I cannot get on as this tmobile web and walk service I have borrowed off a friend has it as content restricted)

I think it is far too little too late. I would not us it as you say people have not updated fo years so it is unlikely their email addresses are the same

They get their money from genesreunited now anyway so doubt they will bother with friendsreunited too much.

The friendsreunited site is no longer their core business from a revenue perspective, it is genes and the dating site they run. It is just that the friends site established the brand for them.
