| Thought I would start this as the other two guide threads have got rather complicated and involved. Currently there are vacancies for guide positions in Food Sports Speakers Corner Services Books - co-guide position Shopping - new co-guide position Computers Even if you are not keen on any of these but fancy something else put yourself forward as many guides are covering more than one category at the moment so new members prepared to help out would be appreciated. If interesed just drop Dooyoo a line via the member page or to teamDooyoo. _________________ As I mature I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. | Any movement on the appointment of new Guides yet? Here we are nearly at the end of January, and it would appear that one of my own favourite Categories (Sports) still remains without a Guide. Why isn't there an announcement on the Community Page yet informing members of the vacancies, and asking people to apply? |

| Nope although it appears Jared is now back in the office after being pretty much off since the New Year, guess he will look at it once crowns and abuse has been sorted. On the plus side Ken now guides have a badge under their picture _________________ As I mature I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. | Perhaps spending some time finding some new Guides for the vacant Categories would be more productive than giving new members and existing Guides lovely wee shiny badges. (Just a thought) |

| I must admit I thought they would be a bit more prominent in their search by now - knowing how hard it is to find new guides previously. |

| I imagine it is not the same person that put a little orange strip at the bottom of guide photos and new member photos as the person who has spent time hunting down guides (many of whom HAVEN'T accepted - presumably as they don't want to commit time!!) _________________ Be the Change You Want to see in the World

| I think the new payment system and the fallout from that has made the guide role appear unappealing right now. Don't blame them, really. Though, don't they realise we're carving up the Crowns between us? |

Hence the reason I would only suggest unsuitable members to be guides, meaning less guides to share out the crown allocation amongst. _________________ As I mature I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

| Now the 7th February, and STILL no signs of any new Guides being appointed for currently vacant categories, or any sign of the posts being advertised by dooyoo on the site. Can any current Guides throw any further light on any developments? (If any!) |

I've spoken to a number of members who've been approached, all of whom have said they won't do it. They've cited it as a thankless task, and can't be doing with the grief that goes with the territory these days.
