to answer the email from before, I might have been a member for as long as you have Ken, however , I was not particularly active at all.
For a long time, just never bothered, in fact I never bothered with these forums either, until I joined this one, so have that in common in fact. (As well as being Irish Catholic, so I do know where the Pope lives and in fact have visited.)
I only got really got active in dooyoo again in about 2005, when rachel pointed out that there was a new ability to add products, which was the main reason I never bothered, as I rarely do mainstream FMCG type reviews and so if it wasnt listed I couldnt post, and when I did it was a cross post and run.
so I
wasnt aware there was a real issue, and I dont recall much discussion on the guide forum in the last two years either.
But as I said, having been involved in systems development in the past, I stand by my original straightforward comment, it is a nice to have, the public reading reviews, don't really give a stuff what order they appear in a member page.
I dont understand why me seeing why an organisation behaving as it does is actually an issue, believe me I see it with a lot more organisations than dooyoo and I do have a good understanding of how companies behave as they do. Heck I know the faults in my own organisation but I also understand it has finite resources and things get prioritised, which was the only point I made.
Over and out.
