Anyone else having problems in accessing all their reviews?

All I can get on either my own or any other members' profile is the first page of their reviews. All the older stuff can't be accessed!

It is a bug apparently that they are fixing.

Dooyoo, like many others, were only just back after the Easter holidays today.

Fair enough. So long as it doesn't turn into one of these long drawn out dooyoo saga thingys like the VERY long promised fix to allow us to re-position our own reviews where we like in our profile. That's a fix that's been promised for so long I can't even remember when we lost the facility!

is it? I dont recall it being promised at all, more a wish list tbh. I dont see the real strategic benefit in that one, more like a "nice to have" for members rather than anything that can generate genuine extra traffic to the site so can sort of see why it could never get to the top of a developers to do list.

Helen, you've been a member of dooyoo almost as long as I have, so unless you're suffering from some kind of unexplainable memory loss, you know well that we always had the feature of being able to edit and update our reviews, (up until Aurora, or whatever the hell they called that crazy revamp a few years back) and that they would then jump to the number one spot in our profiles.
I raised the matter constantly when I was a Guide, and we were constantly told that the feature would be restored and was on a "to do" list. But it has never happened.

What benefit to the site? I would have thought that fairly obvious. At present there is absolutely no incentive for a member to ever update any of their old reviews, as they stay firmly "lost" somewhere in the depths of their profile. I know that there are many of my old reviews I'd consider re-writing and updating if I could move them to the No. 1 spot on my profile page, in order to get a few more reads and maybe a second bite at a Crown award.

This feature has always been available at Ciao, BTW. Not only that, you can now choose whether or not you want to move the position of your review or leave it where it is.

As for my original question. Personally I find it extremely frustrating not being able to access any of my old reviews other than those on the first page of my profile. That's why I asked if there was any sign of it being sorted.

But why does it not surprise me that you immediately jump down my throat whenever I raise a point? If I said the Pope was a Catholic you'd probably find someway to disagree with me!

I'd like the facility to update old reviews and move them - that would be worth updating them then! Smile

That was a bit OTT wasn't it, Ken?

(and, at least as far as I can read, Helen was only saying she wasn't sure that the fix had been promised....)

I've yet to see Helen do anything other than defend the dooyoo staff and decisions. Maybe you should try reading between the lines more.

Lordy, what a quick shot that was, Ken! I think you should just be aware that sometimes Dooyoo are allowed to have problems! Just chill out, have some Easter egg and just wait for a bit.

I was never anything other than chilled! My initial post was a simple question; had anyone else noticed the bug? My next post was to ask whether or not it had been brought to dooyoo' s attention, and whether there was any progress in getting it sorted.

It may not be of any importance to some people, but I personally like to be able to access all the reviews I have written without having to use the search engine to do so.

I also like to return reads when somebody does me the courtesy of reading one of my reviews. With some members this means having to go back into their back catalogue of reviews in order to find one I haven't already read. I can't do this easily at present.
