| I'm finding my reads haven't really changed, but neither has the amount I post. At most I do on average 1 review per week (ignoring sabbaticals). Unfortunately due to the number of reads, this means a net loss in money. And I haven't the desire or time to increase my output, and I wouldn't want quality to suffer from pushing myself. If this new influx of members ever gets my reads high enough to match my old earnings it'd be nice. Not happened yet though. Good job I write more for fun than the reward, but it's still a shame. |

| Same as above, I haven't noticed much of a drop in reads/rates. I'm still posting as and when like before, but I am noticing more newbies signing up than ever before and just churning away. When will they ever understand that if they want reads, then they must read some reviews themselves. Lisa x |

Yeah but you do not need reads if you get 500 miles for writing a few lines. _________________ As I mature I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

| I don't understand why people don't read what they want to read. As the total number of reviews is up, and payments are up, then I would have to stagger a guess that reads are UP not down. Reads per review might be down for some, but then so what? _________________ Be the Change You Want to see in the World

| I do read what I want to read but some churners just post loads and never really read anybody else at all. They get 50p per review with no real effort back into teh site. |

Sorry, but that isn't the only logical conclusion. I'm also not sure what point you want to make?
The new system has been designed to get more content, members, and activity on the site. The magic number is 33 or approx £1. Any reads over 33 on a review earns less miles under the new system.
Total number of reviews are up. Payments only go up if you increase your overall reads, but anything over 33 per review earns less than it used to. More members may mean total reads are up, but spread out over more reviews. So members need to read more than they used to, to get other people's payments up.
Personally I prefer to have more people read something I've written, so I won't change my output to chase miles. It's fingers crossed that those new members all flock to my reviews, but with the added competition it's not happened yet.
I'm not bitter though - Dooyoo still beats all the other sites. I'm just gonna have to improve my writing, and choose popular topics. |

| My own personal reads are down, probably about 25% per review. While money isn't a primary factor for me, I am disheartened by the fact that reads have gone down despite the fact that there are tonne of new members around the site. |

| I think we're all yet to be convinced that dooyoo still want to reward quality as well as quanitity. One of Jared's postings said that quality will be rewarded in phase 2 (if I remember correctly) but I'm wondering how long it will take. |

| We did remind him about that and he (re)assured us that it was still planned, but didn't give any ideas of how this might be achieved. |

Well, I'm just after spending a £100 dooyoo voucher on Amazon. To be completely honest, earning on dooyoo these days is money for old rope and as easy as shelling peas.
I agree with the previous posters about the HUGE influx of new members who never seem to read practically anything by another member. But as Richard said, why the hell should they!! There's no real reason to when they can earn 50p per review, and knock out as many as they feel like in a day. The top earner in the last 60 days (a Guide) has earned £195 for reviews written alone, never mind any extra income from reads! I'm not even critical of this any more. If dooyoo are daft enough (or desperate enough to increase the number of reviews posted on the site) to pay out this sort of crazy money, then why SHOULDN'T members (old and new) take advantage of their insanity! It's their own fault. They were quite simply asking for this to happen, and now it has they are reaping the whirlwind. Have a look at the "Members With Most reviews Written" over the last 60 days section on the Community Page, and then do some simple maths. The amount of dosh being paid out is staggering. Hopefully dooyoo as a company can afford it, as there's no sign of the flood abating any time soon. If anything, more and more new members are flocking to the site as they hear over the grapevine how easy it is to make the shillings.
I have to admit to something here. I'm actually quite enjoying the new regime. There's no pressure now to post really good quality reviews, and I've adjusted my own reviews accordingly. It's quite good fun, and when I feel like it I throw in a good one just to keep in practice. Some of them have even got Crowns, which nowadays is simply a wee added bonus but not essential to keep up your earnings. There again, some of my "throwaway" reviews have been Crowned as well. (Go figure!)
If this continues then I reckon the days of dooyoo being the premier review site (in terms of quality writing) are well and truly numbered. |

That is staggering! I even saw in his comments thread on one review - someone begging him to write a review like he used to - and his reply was somehting alog the lines of - no way! |

As I said in my last post, I don't blame him, and see where he's coming from. There's simply no point spending ages and sweating blood writing good quality reviews anymore with the whole dooyoo emphasis now being on quantity over quality.
It's like dooyoo have suddenly gone communist or something. Give all the moolah to the masses. (Heh, heh) |

| The Miles can be made worthless at any time regardless of how many you have accumulated. The terms and conditions state: "dooyoo may terminate the dooyooMILES scheme at any time. If dooyoo chooses to do so, any dooyooMILES in the dooyooMILES member's account may be invalidated by dooyoo, and the dooyooMILES member will not be entitled to any compensation of any kind for such invalidated dooyooMILES however, dooyoo may not do so until 30 days after dooyoo has posted its decision to terminate the dooyooMILES scheme on this website (or a successor website), or has otherwise notified the dooyooMILES member." If the volume of money-grabbing increased to an unmanageable volume, rest assured that everybody would lose everything, including any members who had been posting masses of opinions. Dooyoo will keep this in their back pocket in case things go awry. |
