Hold on a minute! Did Kimi just win the championship? Or what the hell just happened? Just shows how much I follow these events nowadays. I feel I must express my humblest apologies I have neglected all of you by not showering you with patriotic gloating. So here's a late:

IN YOUR FACE! HAHAA!!! YOU BUNCH OF LOSERS!

There, hope you feel better now. Smile

Kimi Raikkonnen a very good driver but perhaps the most boring sportsman the world has ever seen ?

The BMW Sauber and Williams team have been found to have had a fuel infringement, but no decision has been taken against them, and so McLaren have appealed this.

Alonso apparently is embarassed about this decision and I think I would be too - have they forgotten about the spy row already? Maybe the teams are to be docked the points, but then, McLaren are already out of the Constructors Championship?!

Anyway, I'm delighted for Kimi. Hopefully next year Williams can close the gap and Nick Heidfeld will win!

To be honest I'm not a particular fan of his, but my patriotic duty is to praise. It's practically a law. Wink

Something about fuel temperature ??

Lewis Hamilton has already said he wants to win the title on the track, not by default because somebody else was kicked out.

However it will be interesting if this appeal is upheld, whether Lewis would accept the Drivers campionship if it was offered to him.

Absolutely typical of this season, Its been one controversy after another. Mind due, I for one have loved the Hamilton/ Alonso 'war' thats been going on. Its like the good old days, Senna vs Prost.

Whatever happens, my opinion is that Hamilton is a racer in the true sense of the word and he has put the spark back into formula 1 which it so desperately needed.

I assume that by keeping the fuel cold they were able to get more into the tank and get an unfair advantage. Sounds dangerous to me if it warms up and expands during the race. But also sounds like cheating.

It wasn't mentioned on the news just now, I personally don't know if the story has gone cold or if it's still being investigated

Technically it is against the rules although to prove it was done intentionally is very difficult, (no incriminating e-mails have come to light Shocked ). However the advantages from doing this are minimal and I heard it was estimated that it would only account for 1 sec of the overall time (?). In the past where this has been discovered the teams have been fined but the results not overturned since it was deemed not to have affected the placings.

It seems to me that Maclaren this year should take this on the chin and be thankful they were not treated more harshly for their proven attempts at cheating. Hamilton will have his day in the future I'm sure.

I see the Spanish are being racist again. Donning capes and blacked up faces a group dressed up as 'the Hamiltons' whilst the drivers were practising in Barca.

Its about time something was done, The Spanish dont take racism seriously enough.

I think that it is funny that Alonso moved back to Renault and has another rookie as his teammate. I really hope that Alonso gets beaten by him. Should be a pretty interesting season this year.
