I can't afford any of the newer ones - I've had a PS2 for a couple of years and with so many cheap games I'll probably stick with it for awhile.
I have a huge list of games, but i'll just mention a few. Stranglehold looks awesome. It's inspired by the 1992 film Hard Boiled (haven't seen it myself but it's meant to be good) and it's presnted by John Woo. That says it all. It looks like Max Payne in next generation, as there's bullet time, but Max Payne is terrific so who cares?

Aside from that, i'm looking forward to Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed. Assassin's Creed looks like Prince of Persia (well, it's done by the same people ...

It's an obvious forum topic in a game category I know, but I thought it worth resurrecting.

What games has everyone been playing, are they any good, and what games are you hoping to play in the near future?

I have been tackling:

X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (PSOne) - an enjoyable beat 'em up but rather like all the other SF games of the time. Hadoken!

Enter The Matrix (PS2) - It's got stupid controls and slightly empty-feeling levels, but hey, you can do stuff in SLOW-MOTION! Ahem.

I was just wondering how much people tend to pay for games these days (console or PC), and where you buy them from?

Amazon's marketplace is the place I almost always go (as well as occasionally eBay and play.com) as you can get titles amazingly cheap new and used (have bought a few new for less than £3.50 including p&p).

I think the most I've ever spent on a single game is £27 (it wasn't worth it lol), but very rarely go over £10 these days. It's ironic that many of those complaining ...

Here, it is the most impossible and damn hard quiz ever. Getting up to 50 loe and i will be impressed, you really have to be a dumbass to pass (you'll see why).

I don't know how many questions there are. I know someone who got up to 69, someone who got to 109 and i got to 97 (94 not counting skips). Really, have a go and post the highest you can get. Be warned, it is addictive, and you won't get anywhere first time, i spent hours on it.

I don't think i've ever heard a game being banned before it's even released. This isn't surprising for me as it looked very adult. I'm not too upset about the ban as i haven't played the original, but fans of the original must be crushed.
