While I adore the show and would hate to take anything away from it, I think it was actually Pheobe Buffet who brought the term into popular culture properly when she changed her name to Princess Consuella Bananahammock.

Thats the trouble with sky, everything seems to be a rerun, but Friends predates Scrubs so I'm sure you are right.

If you notice strange names on the latest new member thingy at the bottom of the forum, be assured that spammers are banned as soon as they join, but if we ban instead of deleting, their name stays there, but they are unable to post. That way they cannot join again.

So how come none of us above haven't been banned yet?

Cos you don't call yourselves "Womansbreast" etc.

How do these spammers get through. Do you still make sure they contact you before you allow them to join? I thought that was working really well.

What happens is that we get an email when someone joins, and we have to activate it. We check their profile and if they are genuine, write them a welcome. If they do not use their ciao, dooyoo etc. user name, we ask them what it is because there are a host of spammers and our experience from other forums tells us that they will litter the place with adverts for medicine, sex sites etc. Usually they use those anon email addresses and the name gives away quite a lot.
