| Just noticed a handy little thing at the top of the site which tells you, wherever you are on the site if you have anymessages waiting for you. There is also the possibility of blocking users which saves dooyoo a lot of unecessary hassle. | |

| I've had a few. Felt like goibg aorund to loads of people on my trust list with the message 'Am i the first one to message you' but restrained myself. Thing is dooyoo cant unblock a member so if you accidentally block someone instead of pressing reply then your stuck.... | |

| I;ve always said that they should be. I don't see why people should be able to read messages sent to another member. I suppose that ciao thought if they were out in public view they would stay mild and no one would abuse it, but they were wrong. | |

| I hope i didn't block you. Nearly blocked someone else though, just about to click and realised. I agree they should be private. Public guestbooks are just there for nosy people to snoop | |

| Definately should be private. I don't want people reading my private buisness. | |

| I sometimes like snooping on guestbooks in Ciao. it can be fun.
Seriously i lk the idea of private messaging on Dooyoo. There are times when i want to send a message to a new person which is not relevent to their review but find that I vcan nt and half the time I can not be bothered checking hether they have a Tooyoo guestbook. Will be handy for me as a Guide as well! | |

| I like the idea too, and it is definitely better than Ciao with all this >>>>>> carry on, and the problems guest books cause.. So if you block, you cannot unblock, will have to be careful there then, as those buttons are close together. I have had a few messages, to test it out! It's far easier than tooyoo which I never bothered with until I became a guide. | |

| One of the nicest features about the messages is that you do not have to go to the members page to leave a message, just press reply and you stay where you are. | |
