| Oops, just checked and there's not request payment button as far as I can see. I went to 'my trivago' then 'statistics' and then account. It says I have £16.03 but there's not request button. |

No button, must be a text link. It's right beneath the actual amount that can be requested.
Does it say anything about the status of your payment? (e.g. "Payout (requested)" or "Payout (Payment accepted)") |

| Not as far as I can see - there didn't seem to be any kind of links. But then last week we couldn't even do the registration of paypal accounts. Maybe it's another thing that only works on the German side and got muddled with the new version. |

This is exactly what happened. For some activities rewards are not credited continuously but once per accounting period. And at the moment this is done at the end of the period shortly before the actual payout day. This inflates the amount of total shares within a very short time whereas the payout sum remains the same or rises only slightly. That's why there is such a big leap in the account figures. And I agree that this is really disheartening. |
To level this out a bit, I have shifted the transfer of shares from trivaGEO from the end to the middle of each accounting period, so there still will be some leaps - but not all summing up in one or two days shortly before the payouts. That's what I could do on my side. The rest is up to the admins. |

| OK, so I'm not about to pay off my mortgage or anything and I'm way behing people like Alan and Sascha, but I thought I'd update on my rewards for Trivago. I really didn't believe initially that it would ever be very lucrative but I'm getting happier with it each month. First period Aug/Sept I earned £1.22 (but I started well into September) 2nd Period - Oct/Nov £14.80 3rd Period - Dec/Jan £38.35 Considering that it really doesn't sap my creative juices much at all, I think that's a pretty good payout compared to what I got on Ciao or dooyoo during the same period. I'm starting to believe that it's actually well worth the effort involved. |

| I have to say I still find Trivago confusing. After a long break from the site, for various reasons, I thought I would try and get back into it and so I completed my own four star 45hole Golf/Resort hotel (that is the place where I work!!) yesterday. I got 40%. Now given I have Accountability on the P&L for "Accommodation" and know exactly which markets we attract, (and get) you would think I could complete this little bit of form filling without any difficulty...but it gets approved by someone who has never been within 100 miles of Lincolnshire and instead I get 40% - my worse ever.....by a LONG WAY. It makes no sense at all. Plus it said Max was 70%, but max was 80% in the list...(and is GDS represented). Transient was deleted? How can ANY hotel not be suited to TRANSIENT unless it is 100% Group Business (i.e. a Coaching (read Shearings) Hotel)? Transient is the No 1 question asked...(Individual or Group??) We Don't take ANY tour business as we do not need it... I was going to do more, but it seems pointless. If I cannot get it right and I spend half my life in there, then no one else EVER will. I was advised that room features should be based on Standard...so this is what I did...and that wasn't "right" either!!! But I SELL em! And don't moan at me for links, as these things are not read or rated anyway..! [/moan] _________________ Be the Change You Want to see in the World

| Oops, that's ridiculous. :-( Did you mention in the comment, that you work for this hotel? I think that would have helped. To give you 40% as the relatively new user you are is really harsh. I'll have a word with the user who approved your submission. Could you do me a favor and check the data she changed and if there is any faulty information now with the hotel so we can correct it? I'd appreciate that very much and I feel sorry for this. |

Sascha thanks. I had put I worked there at first, but system chucked me out. I put it in the source box (Which was logical to me, as it is a "source") but I assumed as I had not entered a website, then it didn't like, so I left it off second time. Perhaps I know now.
I have have conversations with the approving Member and while I understand where she is coming from, obviously working with limited information, my overall concerns about how these things are assessed still remain. (And I don't think my points have moved at all...so don't want to do a pile more, if I have a fundamental misunderstanding about "terms".
But as regards loaded data, then it is family friendly (double double rooms, interconnecting rooms, Kids checkin, outdoor activities, swimming lessons and all the normal..), obviously suited to Transient (Or I might as well quit as no idea what else will 'fill' us every night of week....as conference don't normally want F/S/S ) It is within a couple of minutes of the A1, so meets the Trivago definition of Transient (which to me isn't going to be helpful to end users, as that is not what Transient means to hoteliers). Culture Lovers - Belton House (NT), Fantastic Lincoln Castle (home to one of the four remaining Magna Cartas in England and one of only two motte and baileys with two mottes), Lincoln Cathedral, Belvoir Castle, Birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton, (Also Maggie Thatcher but I could see why some might view that as a negative... ) See T'interweb site..
Fax no has the code twice now, and how do you get those rates showing on site, (are they GDS driven or if not what exchange rate are you using and we do enter in Euros dont we?)
PS: I don't know what "Animation" means (in context, obviously)Forgive my ignorance there..
I was going to start the others (one down, about 50 to go..!)
And belated Happy Birthday, hope that doesn't bring bad luck _________________ Be the Change You Want to see in the World

Hi Helen,
Michele told me that she was talking to you about that issue and I'm quite pleased that you both realised that all this hassle was the result of several misunderstandings.
I value you as a member and really would like you to keep putting your expertise into the site. The UK community of trivago still has some teething problems and contributing in some areas still means pioneering. I hope that doesn't put you off and you help us to overcome these issues.
I think it's beyond the scope of that forum to discuss single terms. Let me know which way it is most convenient to contact you regarding these. I would like to hear your thoughts in detail.
Thanks to you and fizzy for the bday congratulations! :-)
PS: Animation is badly translated from German, stands for "organised on-site activities" (contest, games, shows etc where guests can participate, popular in many vacation hotels/clubs) - we will rectify the wording.
PPS: Yes, "sources" is for URLs of pages where you take additional info from. The remark that you work for the hotel should have gone to the "comment" field. But I agree, this should be made apparent in the input form. |

| Sascha - now you can see why I raised the topic of animation being a dumb word in English. I put it onto the trivago forum and have had absolutely no response. |

| That was maybe because your point was very valid and most obvious to any English native speaker. There was not much room for discussion - except the spelling :-) I hope the wording gets rectified asap. Anyways, thanks for raising the issue at all. |
