| I'm looking for a camera preferably under £250, that has manual and automatic features, video with sound capture and is least likely to produce the dreaded red eye in photos. Lisa x | |

| 25% positive feedback from that seller is very poor! Do many of your photos suffer with red eye at all? Lisa x | |

| That's good! A friend took a photo of me recently, and I definitely look like the devil. Is the sound/picture quality good on the movie mode? Lisa x | |

| Those photos look very good, but I'd like to be able to use movie mode at night as well. Lisa x | |

| Ok, well I've got a Sony Cybershot DS3-T33 - auto focus and video function, de-red eye etc etc. 5.1 megapixel and the video capture is excellent. It has everything you could possibly want in a camera - plus, the view screen is huge and it's thin and lightweight. It might be over the £250 budget though... Below is a link for a picture of the camera - http://www.amphotoworld.com/images/big/sndsct33w.jpgIncredibly easy to use - very good first camera. | |

| Some people has mentioned that it has a weak flash, bad red eye reduction, and produces poor quality photos. What are your experiences of this? Lisa x | |

| Personally, I've only had good experiences of it. I've had it for about a year and a half, and found that quality-wise, it's excellent. If you're going for a first camera, it's very good as well because it's incredibly easy to use. If people have had problems with it, they should make sure they have it on the right setting. Sounds patronising, I know, but you'll find that in most cases 'Auto-focus' is the best option to choose, as it detects the amount of light in the room, how far away the object is etc, and alters accordingly. If it's left on an option for taking close-up pictures for example, the quality won't be as good as taking pictures normally. | |

| Sounds good then, and looks very compact. Do many of your photos suffer with red eye? Lisa x | |

| No, not at all. I mean, I confess to having the odd one or two but the vast majority are red-eye free! Plus, if you're looking for a camera with video option, the quality on this one is some of the best I've seen. | |

| Does the video have audio? I know that sounds a stupid question, but I can't believe how many of the cameras out there have video, but no sound! Lisa x | |

| Yeah, it does. It sounds quite quiet when you're out in the open like all camera video's do, but when you get inside it's pretty loud. Plus, when you put it on the computer you can alter the volume as loud as you want. The other good thing is that it records in wmv - windows media files, so you don't have to convert it or anything. | |

| Sounds like a quality camera to consider! Will have to go somewhere and try it out. By the way, how long do the batteries last? Lisa x | |

| Well, it depends what option you're using. I now have my camera in front of me - just checking it out, lol! My camera is a little off being fully charged and the different options say I can use the camera for this long - Viewing option (viewing pictures) - 138 minutes Taking-picture option - 68 minutes Video capture option - 48 minutes.
Not bad considering it's not fully charged. | |
