They are great, although the ones that appear here at Tampere are not as strong as they would be nearer the northern direction of Lapland. But they're cool still.

Close enough to see this happening during a clear night, though usually there is just so much either cloud cover and city lights around. And usually they are not quite as strong as in the video, but at least I've seen aurora borealis in action. It looks kind of like soft, velvety streaking across the sky with a green tint. Lovely.
