I DONT GET IT!!!!!!!!!! He just isnt funny!!! He has said odd things that I think 'yeah kinda funny' but I still dont get the craze!!!!

OK...now that I saw the video I have to say that I'm amazed..It's made in Romania..the first part of the video I mean...I never liked Borat...but now with his "small joke" I don't like him even more...I don't want to sound like I don't have sense of humor...but it is to much...for me...

I saw him on MTV awards..last year and this year...I don't really understand why they chose him to appear on the stage...lucky for me :-) this year he appeared only for a few minutes ...phewww

As a final opinion...he does not make funny jokes...not my taste!

I have a sneaking suspicion that the new movie structures like this: first 10 minutes "Heh, heh, hah, haa... Funny...", 20 minutes on "heh... hmmh.. heh... well... maybe", 30 minutes on "So does this end soon or..." and 60 minutes on: "My Heart Will Go Ooooonnnn" (at the karaoke bar).

Totally agree and off to see the film in the next week or two as it has opened at Sixfields.

Apparently there is already a bidding war for his third creation Bruno a gay Austrian TV Fahion presenter who is also very funny.

I'm seriously tempted as I live in Northampton as well (not with atticusuk, please note) but I'll prolly wait for t'DVD. If anyone doesn't "get" Borat then you ain't watching properly. He himself ain't the comedy, it's the reaction he gets from those that believe him to be real i.e. his victim/audience.

I never thought Sacha Baron Cohen was funny in any of his incarnations, he always made me switch off or at least over to another station.

He has the same effect on me as Steve Coogan (he's an immediate switch off for me)

Oh ok and because I am on my soap box today, I dont, and never have done, found jokes that are against women funny.

The odd one can be funny, but Borat makes a point of being anti-women and it just aint funny.

i saw it last night. it was not terrible but not great. I understand the jokes but some of it I just find a bit distasteful. and some of it just amde me cringe. I also found it recycled old material

I am a young woman and i find his anti-women stance hilarious, the funniest thing is seeing the stupid americans reactions everything from the men in the south who are stuck in a time-warp up to the feminists who take themselves way too seriously.
