| Hey
I wondered what people's opinions were on manipulating the order reviews appear in your profile.
Say you write a 2p op, and then the next day do a 0p one - would it be wrong to put the 2p op at the top of your list, in an attempt to get people to read that one, rather than the 0p one?
Would you / Do you do this? Do the 'rules' have anything to say about it?

| I would never have thought of it I usually have about a week between reviews, often more, so it wouldn't affect me I don't look at what they all pay either! There is no rule against it though, but then if you are writing for the money, don't write the 0p ones... | |

| Nothing wrong with it in my book. If I am having a period of not writing, which is uncommon, I usually move a few of my older reviews to the top so that they gain additional reads, it just so happens that these are usually the better paid ones. | |

| Don't see anything wrong with it. Ciao give you the choice of changing the order of your reviews, or leaving them where they are. Several people bring their diamond reviews to the top cos they like people to see em. Can't see any harm in it at all. | |

| I'm okay with changing the order of reviews as there's nothing to make them have to read the top one. | |

| I got told twice since I have been at ciao, once by a member that cot dumped me, that I was cheating by doing it. I clarified with ciao and they said it was nonsense, and they put me back in their cot. The other time, I was told that unless I updated anything it wasn't right, but again ciao confirmed that it was perfectly acceptable. | |

Dear lord, what planet are people on! If it wasn't allowed, there wouldn't be a button allowing it! I remember when that one came in, it used to be when you edited a review, it automatically went to the top of the list.

| Actually its quite a good way to bring seasonal reviews to the top, i.e. April fools and stuff. | |

| I've just checked and I've only used it twice in two years, so I guess I just like mine in order, nothing wrong with reordering though, especially earlier reviews (although I delete mine as you know!)
I'm nearly at 250 reviews, need an idea or two. I have an idea for a challenge.....I don't know if that is a good thing or not!

| Wow, I'm chuffed now. I think part of me had expected people to Flame at me that it was a horribly unacceptable practice but I don't feel so bad anymore lol. | |

| Only times I've ever bumped reviews up is when I have done some really major reworking on them, practically rendering them completely new reviews. Otherwise I don't feel there is any need to on my part. | |

| I have seen one or two other members do it, but I don't see a problem with moving some reviews to the top. There is 3 opinions of mine that spring to mind that I am really proud of and want them to stay near the top. | |

| I did it when I first started, as I was re editing poor first attempts. Als like others have said if you've needed to update a review, then it's useful to put it at the start. Lisa x | |

| I'm tempted at the moment to raise a few up the list, if only to make my "helpful" review somewhat less visible ~ as it is the only review less than "VH" which I have ever posted ~ and as it isn't a "paying"review anymore ~ I can't be bothered trying to change it
I do get a bit upset when people rate it low, though; it was my second review, and it's only this high because I revised it this year.
I don't write new reviews quickly enough I guess !

| I've done it quite often with reviews which I updated. Often when I cross post to Dooyoo from Ciao I tend to read through the old review and spot things that I can improve upon and update the review. I don't think it's cheating is it? Also I updated my Diwali review from last year to include more stuff about it and make it topical when it was Diwali last month... | |

| Ypu go into edit mode, and even if you do not edit, you get a choice at the bottom to put the review back where it was or to move it to the front. | |

| Nearly every one my reviews have been updated at some time or other and I would have loved the option at the time to edit but not move the reviews up the list every time as my reviews list now looks a flipping mess. If I were a new member again I would leave them in the order they were posted. | |
