| After a talk with a member today, I thought I should put on here, we have so many members that are expert in their own field and I am sure would be happy to look over reviews from members that are less than confident about posting them. We have writers of music reviews, films, etc., and although none of us profess to be experts, I am sure that any one of them (from my experience of people on the site) would help those that are less confident and take a look at reviews before posting. If you think you would be willing to help a member gain confidence in a new area, can you add to this thread and say so, as there are many that would like to expand their review writing but don't have the confidence to do so. | |

| Yes of course it is, though sometimes they just need someone to read them and tell them they are ok to gain the confidence to post them Dave. We have had several members that have written reviews and have not posted them because they don't feel confident enough to and I thought it may help if those that had more confidence would help them. Myself I have a real problem with food reviews and would really like help with that one. | |

| Silly of me to even say since I know nobody is ever going to ask, but I'm willing to help with classical music and film score reviews (since I'm pretty much the only one doing them on a regular basis). | |

| Probably the best way of helping each other is by private message, rather than public spectacle but its super that there are so many members willing to help others with their reviews. I may even try a food one but have no idea whose the best person to ask about food reviews. | |

| I am like you Rachel, I really want to do a food review but am worried and really do not know where to start. Food reviews are also the reviews that people are divided on- do you put lists or don't you, etc etc etc. | |

| It's taste I can't do. I really cannot describe taste. I thought if we offered a service where expert writers could help others with difficulties through personal messages or whatever, people could widen their repetoire of reviews and not feel too worried about submitting reviews. So far, a games member has helped another to write better reviews, and anything that helps increase quality of reviews is worth the effort. | |

| me me me me me!!! I love reading food reviews with a passion, partly because they are so crap, but partly to see how people use their descriptive ability to it's best.
I actually (although I never write many) find food reviews so simple. Taste can be described in so many different ways...salty, bitter, sharp, acidic, fruity, syrupy, silky, bitty, rough etc etc etc, as well as describing more specific tastes buttery, sugary, hint of cinnamon, bitty like over frozen icecream etc etc.
If anyone needs any help please PM me...I tend to check my account every 48hours or sooner....

... but definitely not LOVELY I really despair every time I read a food review that describes a cake, biscuit, drink, ready meal or whatnot as lovely.

| Of course members from both sites need equal help. This was just where I posted it and I suspect that all those who offered to help would help members from both sites. | |
