Online life is so predictable. Something goes wrong and everyone worries, though why ? Things get back to normal and then everyone forgets again. Dooyoo have done good by all of us on payments and a few days waiting doesn't hurt anyone.

I'm not howling either, i'm just saying that dooyoo are taking a long time to give out crowns.

Well lets hope there is one out there for all the deserving reviews.

There is a risk that the odd op might be missed but, if you're really concerned (and I hope I don't make a rod for my back by saying this (and I'll stop if it gets out of hand)) AND a couple of guides have not read and rated an op that you really really think should have had a crown let me know and I'll try to take a look. That is good to hear however I do not think it is beyond Dooyoo ability to either appoint someone quickly or to ensure that an existing guide with a quiet category is assigned to the role fficially until a permanent appointment can be in place, must admit the fact despite what is said I will still not change my approach and I could adopt a former members stance of quoting statistics to suport my view that it is better to write in acategory with an established guide than where there is none regarding crown awards.

I conversed with Jared on this point by e-mail and he implied that guide appointments were imminent however that was a number of weeks ago and to be honest having to ask someone to read your review is something I have done in the past but it is not something I'm comfortable with in a very typical understated English way of not wanting to blow your own trumpet. I woud refer to feel confident that the syste set up worked in the first place.

Looking at the 'new product' list, the only things that have been added in the last week are PC/video games. Is that the only one still being guided!?

No - that's because they got priority being competition categories. Guides are active in most areas and those where there is no active guide are being covered. Guides have nothing to do with product additions I'm afraid.

To be honest I think there are a fair number of empty guide slots (whether empty meaning no guide or empty becasue the current guide is not guiding) and this needs to be addressed asap.

Just had an email from JAred this morning:

He has had something along the lines of Bubonic Plague (man flu!) and has been off for about five days.

He promises to get everything up and running and sorted out as soon as possible.

we should send him a get well soon card.

I've just been over to dooyoo and can't get in. Can't even get the home screen up. Anyone else struggling?

Nope can't get in either, but be patient. Now that we know the situation, I suspect poor Jared has loads of catching up to do.

Yeah, he is a bit swamped, so I don't think everyhting will get done today but he should be sorted by early next week with a bit of luck. (Poor thing! )

I haven't been able to get in for the last few days...I can get to the home page but then the scroll down menu gets permanently 'scrolled' down and the links are all overlaid and I can't access the log in screen.

it's been fine for me except this morning. if you are still having probs once everyone else is back in - email jared and see what's ahppening.
