| Hello I have just become the lucky recipient of someone else's amazon voucher. Apparently this chap is in the USA, cashed his points but can't use them (I assume it's for amazon.co.uk instead of the US site) so he sent me the code. Out of the blue. Apparently (and surprisingly) he says I'm the only person on the site who is nice to him.
I find that hard to believe
Anyway, to get to the point I now have this code but no idea what to do with it. I always hold out for the cash (just another £3 or so to go for next payout - dammit, could have done with a crown or two this week!)
So please, experienced dooyoo amazon people, tell me how I use the voucher code. Thanks

| Well you have a choice. You could donate it for a prize here for the review writing contest, or you can make a new purchase on Amazon.co.uk and when you get to the payment section, feed the code into the space provided which will show up as a reduction on your total bill. | |

| Oh what a nice chap. I think I'll have to start being nice to all Americans It is very easy to use your code at the Amazon checkout! | |

| Ok that's hilarious. (but cool for you)
I alwasy assumed, by the sheer number of colonials that dwell from time to time on dooyoo that they could use their vouchers on the American Amazon site. I've put someone on this just to confirm but if it's true then I'm thinking adding a slight warning somewhere. Because I don't think the Americans writing on the site know that yet.
This also raises the question of why there isn't a dooyoo US division, and I assure you the reason is that, like David Bowie, we're afraid of Americans. -jared

| No why would you need a slight warning somewhere when your terms and conditions say that Dooyoo is not for US based people anyway (or it did anyway, does it still?) if they cant read it in there they are not going to read it anywhere else either are they? | |

| Because when you're dealing with oblivious people, sometimes you need to say it twice.
Or maybe it's because if I ever get an email from an American I can say "What? You didn't notice that we said it TWICE in our terms and condition?" and do a little spiteful happy dance.
But it's most likely the first one. Most likely. -jared

| When I was a student, I lived in a really crappy flat where the shower didn't work. We befriended a group of American students who lived round the corner - they had no only good showers but a washing machine as well.
UK-US - as they say, it's a 'special relationship'.
