http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/fivelivebreakfast/2007/11/is_your_bread_too_big_1.html

Do you think we should do away with the 'thick' bread slices in order to stop people having such big portions, or is this just another example of how we are turning into more of a nanny state?

I love nothing more then thick bread or a big bread cake, but all in moderation and see white bread as a treat.

What do you all think?

If they were to do away with 'thick' sliced bread, what's to stop you buying unsliced and cutting it as thick as you want?!

I buy the thick sliced stuff because I only go through about 8 slices in a week, and after that its gone mouldy. So with a regular loaf of 13 slices almost half goes to waste. Aren't the government also always rabbiting on about us making too much waste, so which would they rather I do?
