Has this story been blown up out of all proportion. From what Ive read its just about divorce/ financial/ business issues. Its not as if full Sharia law is being implemented. And already Jewish peple have a simular thing based on their laws.
However does it set a precedent ? Will it encourage other groups to follow the lead ? Will it fly in the face of the very thing Dr Williams was talking about, social cohesion ? Will it cause more conflict between muslims and non muslims ? Should all British citizens be subject to the British legal system and nothing else ?

I feel that al should be governed under English/British law.
I feel that Rowan Williams should have known better than even comment on this as his comments would always been twisted and blown out of proportion. I know w had someone from the Times outside work today polling people about it and we had a member of public very angry at the issue wantitng to know what our comment was on it. Our poorerger dealt with it very well

Now I just never saw that, makes sense now.
Must ask Mum how Reverend Mustafa handled the whole issue on Sunday.
Really fail to see just why this was such a big news item in the first place.
