New Member Tips

I have just joined DooYoo - it's been a struggle, as I cannot use either of my normal email addresses (which are allegedly not registered) and I cannot use 'my' name, but I'm finally there, albeit not as I'd like to be!

Anyway, I've heard on this site that whilst it's ok to post your Ciao reviews on DooYoo, there are different criteria. So, can anyone give me tips re the differences between writing reviews for Ciao and writing them for DooYoo. I don't want to post any of my Ciao reviews (edited or not) if there's anything I really should know first.

The criteria isn't really different. You may find some members not as generous with ratings but if you post good reviews you will get good rates. The only thing members ask is that you do not "post and run" and actually read and rate around the site. There are no hard and fast rules to stop you doing this but if you want a decent amount of reads then you will...

Do be careful when posting any film reviews. The general rule is

If you are reviewing the film only then post it in the vhs section as Dooyoo do not have a film section.

If reviewing the DVD then you must include details about the extras and your opinion on them, if you only review the film then you will probably get an SU rating from some members.
