| I was driving back from a town today and twice got stuck behind a dawdler. I really believe that those who dawdle are equally as dangerous as those that speed, because the drivers behind them get impatient and make mistakes. I only have a small car, so I usually wait until the road is well clear before overtaking, but there are those with faster cars that do not. What do you think ? | |

| Yes but your reply does not tell us your thoughts about a situation like that. | |

On your driving test they call it 'undue hesitation'... I failed because of it on my first test. Almost failed the second one because of it too but the instructor marked it down as a minor instead - act of kindness, I think (pretty rare from a driving instructor!). Yeah, it is dangerous though. People get tetchy and distracted, consider over-taking and put other people at risk.

| Don't get me started on that one !!! Good grief, you should see the length of it. Almost there now, just some stuff at the top that could not be reached, but by goodness it's good to get away from it and drive. I love driving, but the dawdlers get me down, because without them the roads are so good to drive here, beautiful countryside, good music in the car, and just such enjoyment. | |

| Tried a bike and it was funny. Riding back from the village to my house took 2 hours for a ten minute journey, because people are sociable and want to stop you to talk. | |

| My husband hates dawdlers. He gets the right 'ump and calls them all sorts of names (from inside the car), then roars passed as soon as he gets the chance.
I'm a bit more placid and just go with the flow - too much traffic to build up much speed anyway, unless I am on the motorway. x

Might be a man thing but I always remember to keep a cars' distance away from a dawdler or anyone else though my husband has a habit of driving much too close to them.

You had sex with your driving instructor? Angus... that's a bit obscure even for you.

me too. I think there should be a minimum speed limit on certain roads as it is without a doubt just as dangerous. I've just driven down to Brighton and then back up to Glasgow this weekend and the amount of idiots on the motorway doing less than 50mph is shocking. Although to be fair, I wasn't exactly dawdleling and the amount of people that went tearing past me was just as bad..... But then I think the speed limit should be increased on the motorway anyway.

| The motorways here are amazing. One end of France to the other in a Twingo in 8 hours (with two stops for eating). | |

| The amazing thing is that the roads are so bare. You can go for miles without seeing another vehicle, even on the motorways. The worst bit for me is when you creep alongside a huge town like Bordeaux | |
