Good luck with all that reading Wendy. When I did one on Ciao for toys and games there were over 300 reviews entered and one member alone submitted 25 reviews for the competition

Well you won't be getting one (or more from me). I don't play with toys (anymore) and don't have kids to buy them for. Can I write about my cute hubby and refer to him as my big toy? Very Happy Razz

Here's the winners and also the jan comp and review of the month winner. x

Quote :
Who doesn’t like toys? No matter what holiday you celebrate (from Crimbo to Finneas Fog Wins a Wager Day), you just can’t avoid the December madness revolving around the games we love to play. Here are some of our favorite musings on the topic:

1st Prize is awarded to Jpegington, for giving a rather complete and thoroughly look through the rules and mentality behind the classic game "Othello".

2nd prize goes to Susie19 for her rather attention-getting review about a Simpsons version of another classic game, entitled: "Kiss my Butt…Who Pimped My Scrabble?".

3rd prize goes to Mumsymary, for a short but engaging review of a very simple couple of newlyweds, titled: "Who’s Getting Married?".Congratulations to the winners for their high quality reviews and a big thanks to everyone who participated. Keep up the good work!

If your review wasn`t chosen last month, don`t worry. When I was young I played with childish things. Now that I have grown up I have…chosen to play with more EXPENSIVE childish things..

January’s Competition Category: Video Games!Video Games have aged rather well over the past couple of decades. As the Pac-Man generation has grown up, so has the world of digital self-gratification. We might not have Virtual Reality helmets just yet, but chances are most of you don’t need them to truly lose yourself in a good game. For this month’s competition we want to hear about what digital realms and gaming platforms have and haven’t worked. Is the princess in another castle? Why don’t you let us know?Oh and please remember to post your own opinions. Video Games is the #1 category on dooyoo for plagiarism. It’s funny, but far too many people assume there’s not a geek lurking in the shadows on this end. Trust us. We’re far too geeky for our own good and we KNOW when you’ve decided to copy a review out of your favorite magazine. You know, because we read the very same one ourselves. So in short: Play nice and tell us about it. -the dooyoo team

Review of the Month
Chosen from all crowned reviews, the review of the month is an informative, entertaining and very well written opinion that somehow stands out above the rest. More importantly (to some of you), the Review of the Month is awarded with 3500 extra dooyooMiles. This month, the chosen review was written by Zmugzy. It’s rare that we find a review that give a fair shake to something that annoys the heck out of us, and Zmugzy’s look into the “BRATZ” cartoon (and franchise) struck a chord. There were a lot of great reviews this month, but in a month swallowed up by consumerism and marketing, we thought this particular opinion to worthy of being gift-wrapped.Check out last month’s winning review by Liz1102 for a rather disturbing romance between madam and Mp3 player.
