PostSubject: Why I was banned   Why I was banned EmptyMon 11 Dec 2006, 15:11

Dear Brax,

I am sorry to say that your account has been frozen. During a recent
sweep
for fraud, we found several instances of rapid "clicking through" of
opinions.
While reading very quickly is impressive, this bordered on the
fantastic.
We're currently looking into this in more detail, but we did want you
to know
why your account had to be blocked yet again.

Best regards,

Your dooyooTeam

I had 270 reads (I think) and rated less than 100 people. Gulit made me click to make up the number. It was random clicking to redress the balance

I dont think it is so much the number you read that they are picking up on but more the fact that each review seemed to be 'read' so fast that they think you didn't read the reviews, just rated.

I think they thought you were speedreading. There is a difference between clicking as I said and actually reading, and people that write reviews deserve a read rather than a click, even if it is a 3 pence click. That really is not what the site is about.

I think you asre confused Brax. If you rate lots of reviews in the space of a few minutes you are obviously not reading them and that is why dooyoo have suspended you. If you want to redress the balance on your account (if you get re-instated) then you should be reading the reviews that you want too and then rating them not just opening them and rating.

'Yet again'
Does this mean it's not the first time you've been blocked?

I think you have answered your own question here as this reads like you just clicked on loads of reviews to make your read number go up a lot. If that was the case then they can no doubt tell this going by their lettr to you.

Gulit...as in Ruud Gulit? Its a sign of the times when former international football stars are forcing writers to endulge in "clicking cartel" operations. What is the world coming to. Next it will be Kevin Keegan posting copies of other peoples work and Eric Cantona revenge rating. Where will it end.

Is it really so hard to understand? You got banned for cheating - it's really that simple.

Dooyoo isn't rocket science - the principles are easy. Write good well thought out reviews (they don't need to be 3000 words that took you two weeks to put together - just not 100 words of rubbish) and read lots of other people's work - but read it, don't just open it and rate without looking.

How hard is that?
