Equivalent category to 'Everything beginning with...'

I've found on Ciao that it's possible to write about just about anything in the 'Everything beginning with...' category in Ciao Cafe. Can anyone tell me if there is an equivalent category on Dooyoo? I presume it would be in Speakers' Corner if so, but I haven't been able to find anything yet. Thanks!

It would depend upon what kind of article you want to write. Speakers Corner isn't cafe and tends to deal with items which are of use like advice on different topics. Its a lot more serious than the ciao area though there are many topics there already. Was it something particular that we can help you find.

I published one a few days ago on Ciao about Egyptian cuisine in general and was surprised that some people found it very interesting so I wondered about posting it on Dooyoo as well. I am also thinking of writing about working abroad and culture shock (as separate topics).

There is a whole section in the Food area for recipes, and you could suggest one there if non fit the criteria.

Okay working overseas. I would suggest Travel area. As I looked in the suggestion area and there is a section under travel for other travel topics.

Thank you -I'll have a look, but I didn't give actual recipes so it may not fit. I do find it difficult to suggest categories on Dooyoo as they insist on having a link to a picture, but I suppose that would be another thread.

Pictures is easy. You go to a site like acclaim images, type in the kind of picture you are looking for that fits the topic. Right click it, press properties and paste the address across.

If you were talking about a specific area of food, the food section has a general food area and that would possibly be the best area to put it, giving the title of the kind of food and using the dooyoo link in the first box and a photo of the kind of food in the photo box.

The trouble here is that people generally seem to think that the Speakers corner is a dumping ground for reviews that don't fit anywhere else, and once you get your head around the fact that there are other areas of the site where reviews fit, it gets easier.

No problem. The speakers corner area of dooyoo is in a state, and it takes a while to understand a site and where things go.

There are some categories in the cafe headed general discussion which can be used for anything.

On ciao they are unpaid so nobody cares too much if people want to write their opinions on everything from aardvarks to Zulus. But at 3p per hit on dooyoo, I don't think there's a place for such uncontrolled posting.

You would have to question why write it? if it is going into a dumping ground category, it doesnt add any value to the site. Arguably people surfing the net for the topic might still find it..but then if it is already posted elsewhere, what's the gain?

To be honest, yes I do need the 3p! I presume other people do too if they are posting on Ciao and on Dooyoo.
