Do you always leave a comment on a review you have rated?

Do you always respond to a comment somebody else leaves for you?

Two different answers here.

I do not comment on every review I read because it would be silly, as I cannot always say anything that would be of any use when a review says all I think it should say.

No, I do not respond to every comment that I get. If one strikes me as particularly funny, or someone asks a question, of course I would answer it, but apart from that not really.

If I have something to say I say it, otherwise I rate and move on. I probably comment on less than half of the reviews I read. Sometimes I resent having to leave a comment if I give an E but that's life LOL.

Like you, Rachel, I reply to a comment if it's specifically asking something of me or if it was funny. If I receive a negative comment I might also respond to the writer if I felt it was constructive feedback on their part rather than malice when I've given them a lower than H rating on one of their reviews.

1) No I don't if I have nothing to say. If I have to bitch about how bad the review is or feel that it would be fun to leave a comment, then I would.

2) Yes, if somebody asks. (And unbelievably sometimes people do ask me. Shocked )

Well, easy to answer:

1. If I don't understand all things in the review or have nothing to say, I go away without a comment ... If I told a lot that xyz is missing in the review 3 or 4 times, I only leave a small one because my not helpful needs it Shocked

2. If it's aside to "nice review" or "-" I do, well, in fact of being on ciao.de as well, there it's normally impossible to answer to every comment ...

Apart from the comments I have to leave for the NH reviews I probably only leave a comment on about 10% of the reviews I read.

Like most others I would reply to a direct question however I tend to only check comments I've written on reviews for a couple of days after it has been posted, anything left after that stands a chance of not being read in the first place.

I leave comments about 50% of the time, beacuase that is roughly how often I can think of something worth saying. That is what the comments are for as far as I am concerned.

If I found I had something to say 50 per cent of the time I think I would give up. If a review says it all, there is not much you can say to enhance it or to add additional informative detail in a comment.

When I say 'worth saying', I also mean comments that are fun, or point out something I especially liked from within the review. I like to get comments like that, so hope people like it when I leave them.

I like to leave comments if I rate a review lower than 'H', to try and guide the person in the right direction as to what I thought was lacking in the review!
Also if I particular enjoyed a review and thought it covered all aspects of the product, as well as their opinion, then I like to praise them! Lisa x

I leave a comment about 40% of the time, I estimate (I haven't logged on to check). That will include my forced comments like NH and E

I rarely respond to a comment, unless it invites further discussion or asks me a question.

1)No I don't always.

2)Sometimes depending on what the comment is.

I rarely leave a comment, theres not always that much to say, i usually let my rating do the talking for me.. unless im in a "chatty" mood, or i really enjoyed it, thought something was missing in a big way.. or it strikes a personal note with me..

REsponding to comments, i usually only respond if its funny or a question. I usually tend to click on the link to read their reviews though - unless its a "good review" or equally pointless comment.
