| So Ciao are running a comp for video reviews with a first prize of £300. Does this reek of desperation or am I missing the point?
I've not watched a single vid review and I suspect that's the case for lots of other members too.
I have no wish to make one either - especially as they'll probably apply their normal diamond grading criteria and give it to a review of a mobile phone ("look how easy it is to scroll up and down......")
If they have such money to burn, it's a shame they can't use it on the core business - boost the PF, give out more diamonds, run a writing comp or something more relevant.
SO my question...............has anyone made a vid review or watched one?

They continue to miss the point. Video reviews, black dot, video review competition, what next? Rainbow dot and text message reviews? - koshka wrote:

Seriously, that is the sort of standard to expect for some of the video reviews. I might have considered doing one but I cannot think of a product in which a video review would help someone make a purchasing decision. - koshka wrote:

Exactly. Competition aside it's hard to believe getting paid that kind of money for a video review. Up the enumeration rates I say. - koshka wrote:

Watched a handful. There goes my bandwidth...

| I watched I think two vid-revs and they were both hosted by techno geeks spouting on about some piece of hi tech gadgetry. Reminded me of Maurice Moss from the IT Crowd, what a great show that was. Might make a video of paint drying and eneter that. | |

| If they don't allow a picture of me wearing a 'clava, they're not likely to give me £300 for a video of me wearing a 'clava. | |

Review a mobile phone and put the clava on the phone as well.

Oh I LOVED the IT crowd. Anyone know if they ever issued it on DVD? The computer geeks were just so cute.

| Roy: [singing] We don't need no education. Moss: Yes you do; you've just used a double negative
brilliant, and wasnt Noel Fielding as Richmond the Goth just ace. I have to share a nightclub with people like that, almost makes you want to stay in on a saturday night.

| I hope that there is more, that and Black books (featuring Jani as Bernard Black) were the best comedies in a long time (both had Graham "I wrote Father Ted" Lineham to thank). We want more. | |

| If there is a second series then I'll be a happy Friday-night-bunny. Channel four just has the magic touch on Friday nights - sometimes I can even stay awake until bed time.
By the way, we've drifted a tad OT haven't we?
