| This is disgusting.
This paedophile scumbag has got away scot free.
Why isnt he serving time ? Why is his faith supporting him ? Why is his wife supporting him ?
Even his own Sister has branded him a monster.

| Firstly..he should serve time..no questions asked.
Secondly.. if i was his wife I'd castrate him..
Thirdly..having had a few dealings with Jehovahs Witnessess...they wouldn't openly support him..they would reprove him for confessing his sin and then work with him to reform his character...in no way would they agree with what he has done and he would be watched and marked within the congregation..the way they look at it is that he has openly confessed his wrong doings and the only one to judge is God..and as long as he is sorry and repents then they will not disfellowship him (throw him out of the congregation)..
Personally i believe he should have been jailed..you can't do that to children and just get away with community service..it's obscene.

| I agree with the above, he should be jailed. I know the jails are full as they are, but crimes like this are the lowest of the low and should end in jail. The main problem I had was that on the BBC news last night it was reported that the judge just gave him the community service because a) he was 'reformed' b) because he pleeded guilty and c) because he was a man of faith. It is the last point that pee's me off the most. He was a man of faith in the first place and that didnt stop him from doing what he did and the whole report just made the case sound like he was let off 'easy' because of his faith. Everything about this case is wrong, just wrong. | |

| This is a terrible result...remorse/reformed is one thing...but to do stuff like this and get off with no prison sentence is disgraceful | |

| The problem with prosecuting this crime is smal chunks of every sector of society is at it, which makes it a unique crime. A judge or a priest is just as likely to mess with kids as a bin man or a fruit packer. Some of these guys go on offending as they turn in the same circles.. | |
