| Somethings up guys! I saw two A10 bombers yesterday flying over the Midlands, the first time I have seen the 'tankbusters' since the Iraq invasion. Today, for the first time ever, I saw two stealth 'nighthawk' fighters in tandem with a refuling DC10. Yes they could have been moving airshow stock around, but im a skywatcher and this looks like military hardware build up to me. With Americas rhetoric on home grown terror threats today it feels like Bush needs a big distration from his woes, Clinton/Lewinsky style... | |

| Ziggy, time to put your binoculars down and get a life. Just because they are planes doesn't make it more respectable than train spotting.
Oh, sorry forgot, in Northampton this is as close as it gets to excitement (except the balloon festival - I trust you'll be on the lookout for spy-balloons). Let's kick off a thread on the pros and cons of a hard runway at Sywell Aerodrome - is it for bombers or just the rich execs from Mercedes coming over to the factory round the corner from me? | |
