| Well you cannot acuse Dooyoo of not listening as they have now tried to do something about the new review list and the fact that members get bumped off quicker under the new payment system which has increased the volume of reviews. Tis was the number one moan appparently, or at least the one they could / wanted to do something about.
Not sure though that the solution actually helps or just increases the space given up to the churners.

| I'm not entirely sure that it was the number one gripe by members, but fair play to Dooyoo for trying something. I'm still waiting to see what they're going to do about encouraging better reviews. The people I've been chatting to (and reading reviews from and looking at posts on forums) indicates that pople are concerned by:
- Churners not reading back across the site
- Reviews by churners having no personal experience
- Drops in reads (linked to the first gripe, perhaps?)
- That the better writers are no longer the most successful in terms of reward because of the churn

| That's a pretty good summary.
Actually I've found that the reads haven't dropped as much as I thought they would.

| Certainly do not think my reads have reduced either.
My income has reduced but then I knew that when it was announced and it is my choice not to write more to get the fixed 500 mile payment.

Well I did qualify that statement as being the one they could / wanted to do something about. I'm not sure they share the members concerns about some of the others on your list. Also I'm less and less convinced that the change actually deals with the problem it seeks to resolve and personally I will stick to the old style new review list.

| I wasn't disagreeing. The opposite, in fact. I think you're right about them being less concerned about the concerns of the members, which is disappointing but not unexpected. I've posted elsewhere that I believe that instead of adding focus to non-churners, it takes focus away from churners thus making them harder to spot (and avoid, if you prefer not to reward those that only post and run). | |

| Have to say I agree with all that's been said. This way seems to take up loads of unnecessary room and make it more difficult to avoid the churners.
I am also disappointed with the way things are going in general. I always felt that Dooyoo were a site that got things done in support of the members but I feel that's changing and they don't seem to care so much about us anymore. I know it's a business but if all the good members abandon the site, what exactly will they be left with?
Does anyone know when the suggestions are going to start moving again too?

| Belinda, From what we've been told, a bug has swept the office and they've currently got loads of epople off sick. I would imagine things will be slower until everyone returns. | |

| Hope it's not a bug from the other site, lol. They hang around for months.
Thank you for letting me know - it's nice to have a reason for things going slowly. It's funny because after I had posted that asking about the suggestions, I got one through.
I've also had a chance to start reading some of the new reviews and this list seems to be a little bit easier although I don't think that 5 reviews is ideal as it does take up a wee bit too much room. I would compromise and say 3 would be better. It's certainly easier than a long list of the same person.
The only thing that concerns me about it is that it might make it easier for some more unscrupulous members to go and rate loads of a couple of people's reviews and ignore the rest without really reading them.

| I HATE the new review list. I'm not going to read three or five reviews by the same person - even if I have not read all of them before. I am just going to scroll to the next person. Or just read from my alerts. | |

| you can always change the list, and read them in the old format for the time being, i imagine this isn't the final version but an attempt to resolve the feedback from the payment system
however doesnt work for guides as easily as I cannot seem to select by category if you view the list that way, (unless I was having a blonde moment as they say)
EDITED: Yes I was, or just too busy to pay proper attention, that's my excuse...

| It's really unwieldy now. I don't like the new list - I thought the other made it easier to ignore churning. Now it's harder to tell which are the churners at a quick glance.
I'd show just the latest and hide all the others behind

| Not sure how I feel about it yet. I haven't been on dooyoo as a user for a few days so maybe I will reserve judgement until then. | |

| Well, I have been using it tonight and so far am really liking the new way. It is easy to pick and choose which review you want to read from the new reviews for that author and you don't keep coming across the same name over and over. Nice one so far. | |

| Because of the new way the review list is set up and the fact that some links have gone from the category pages I can only see the last four reviews written in motors and as the old style new review list only covers a couple of days there is a good chance I will miss reviews in my category as I struggle to get on the site more than twice a week in term time.
I could check all the sub categories but have neither the time r inclination to do so.
Anyway on the off chance you write a motors review message me and I should get to it some day.

When I select Motors from the new reviews list I get loads of entries but they don't appear to be in date order? In fact there was one from 2005 popped in there!

I know what you mean. As a double guide its a pain that I have to revert back to the main page, click on the main Dooyoo banner and re-visit the sections to read new and exisiting reviews as they appear as a list. Otherwise Im stuck looking at the first new three reviews and then have to double back to read others I haven't read.

| Having used it for a few days now I find it really easy to use from a rating point of view of a non-category specific order. Are the guides still having problem when you have to split it into categories? | |
