| # I think all meat should resemble the animal it came from.
# I think parents who do not educate their children about were food comes from are lazy good for nothing bar stards. Fish do not swim in fingers! Chips are made from potatoes!
# I think most people should not be allowed to drive.
# I think the driving age should be raised to twenty-one.
# I think the monarchy should be downsized.
# I think wages should be capped. No-one should be able to earn in excess of £100,000 per year, no matter what the profession.
# I think most Dentists are money grabbing bastards.

Actually, they have call centers in Bradford, Bournemouth and Belfast too. As well as one in Bangalore.
And having worked in the one in Glasgow, I had no trouble making myself understood. Well obviously I had the misfortune of not getting through to you Drew Must have been it!

| This is interesting. here is my list
There should be one bank issuing currency in the UK. it's too complicated when you get an Ulster or Scottish note.
-Those going to university to do essential degrees for society (Nurses, doctors, teachers etc) should get free tuition and a good grant those doing Film and media etc should pay through the nose.
-Those calling themselves a celeb should be
-t groups of continental school children should not be allowed in the country. have you ever tried to deal with them??!!
- people should have to pass a practical and financil test to have kids
We should be able to deport all our useless scroungers to another country in exchange for those who want to come to the UK and work hard.
The university age should be raised and students should have a couple of years in the real world so the have more of idea what course they want to do
There you go | |

There you go I can agree with that...might be unenforceable but would be nice idea! I really want to agree with this, but while I think some people should never have children, I would be interested what would be included in a practical test. For a lot of people having a child is the making of them, and lets be fair, it's not rocket science is it? All the help you need is there waiting for you, books, groups, phone lines, health visitors.... And as for financial tests, I couldn't agree more. But then it's not hard with all the hand outs and benefits you get! (and I hear tax credits are going up making parents even better off )

What's complicated about it.......? The number on the note kinda gives it away. - Quote :

So, the one's that will end up on the higher salaries in the long run should get it free at the start?! (and anyway, Nurses actually do get it free and get a bursary at the moment) Society needs varying skills to function and be in any way interesting. I would hate to live in a society where only services deemed 'essential' qualified to be educated. How dull would that be? Actually, you can be a teacher with pretty much any degree, so that would mean free uni for all anyway.

(and I hear tax credits are going up making parents even better off ) I suspect the opinion was centred around bad parenting in general..of which there is an awful lot about, unfortunately..rather than the actual part about making a baby... I guess the point about financial tests could be that there shouldn't be hand outs....,if you want a baby you save for it first. (I am assuming, I didnt put it up there!)

Actually, you can be a teacher with pretty much any degree, so that would mean free uni for all anyway. Couldn't agree more - the benefit is in education not simply the particular area of study. A university education gives all kinds of benefits and we shouldn't look down on specific courses.

| #I actually think the University system would work a lot better if it was overhauled and employers paid university fees in a "secondment" sponsorship situation for pretty much all courses. Doing it this way round would potentially benefit everybody. I think if you do not intend to be employed after finishing your degree you should have to pay tuition fees.
#I think the TV license fee should be scrapped.
#I think having schools with specialist arts, sports etc status is a ridiculous concept and is the result of a increasingly weird funding system.
#I think the NHS should either be totally free or not at all. None of this halfway house, postcode lottery crap.

| Those who do not take care of their health by smoking or over eating should pay for the related health care.
The lottery fund should build more fountains (nicked from Clarkson) and other impressive monuments
The national football stadium should be moved to the Midlands
Foreign refs should not be allowed to officiate in quarter finals when they do not know what a penalty is.
They should have asked me what the cause of Di and Dodi death would and saved £2m as I would only have asked for £1m
Liverpool should be demolished, it is a dump.
Parents should be jailed for giving their kids alcohol

| *Free university education for first degrees, regardless of the subject.
*Abolition of the Daily Mail
*The following television programmes to be removed from TV - Freaky Eaters, Spendaholics, Dog Borstal, Jeremy Kyle, Cash in the Attic, Bargain Hunt, Come Dine with Me (I could go on...)
*NO BBC programmes should be discussed during Breakfast News; I don't watch the Apprentice, I'm not interested in the Apprentice - be that last weeks show or the one to come this week - and it's not news. Same goes for any phone in weekly dancing/singing show. I didn't watch it and it's not news.
*Keep the Post Offices open whether they are profit making or not. They are a valuable service and you can't always count advantage purely in financial terms.
*Fortnightly bin collections for all. Don't like it? Create less rubbish!

| All this talk of the NHS- why not just get rid?!?
I do not think children should be paid to go to school or college. You must go to school, and if you want to go to college and get a further education should be reward in itself.

| I agree on the bin thing...if I can put out a third of a bin every fortnight...I cannot buy this big family argument...other than greed. (And I am from a big family....but we just had a wee bin in those days!)
Abolition of the Daily Mail...would be nice.
di and dodi, make Mr fayed pay all the costs, it is his ridiculous complaints that has caused all this.
I agree with Lisa, presumably in regard to EMA...a completely unfair allowance for perfectly healthy 16 and 17 year olds who can get a job for 5 hours in asda to earn that much. not sure about the employer paying uni fees though, lots of companies cannot afford to do it, I know mine could never do that - and the employers that can probably already do...e.g. like nursing on the nhs ( I know when I did my self funded £12K MBA, notable key organisations such as Rolls Royce and the Royal Mail, and the Army among others had high proportions of students who were funded, and that is for a masters)

| Bi weekly bin collection yes. Providing the council provide facilities to recycle properly. We get a big wheelie bin for household waste and a tiny bucket for recyclables. We can fill the recyclable bin in two days and they come every two weeks!
Ironically we often have to drive 7 miles to the recycling centre most weeks.

| yes, it is amazing how different councils dont think this through. Mine isnt bad although we do have to take bottles to the recycling centre, but I just bought a plastic box for the job.
My Dad only gets a small sack for papers, so what happens to the rest of the card and stuff I dont know. His council is one of the worse for recycling, mine is second best in the country.

| 1) People in the most severe Third World countries should be left to die out and become extinct.
2) Possessing child p0rn doesn't instantly make that person a paedophile. There's a big difference between looking and doing.
3) If todays kids are screwed up it's because the parents of the screwed-up kids weren't brought up properly. If the parents had been brought up properly in the first place they wouldn't have screwed up their own kids. In other words blame the 50+ year olds and stop blaming the younger generation.
4) It's wrong to be told we should respect our elders. Respect has to be earnt and that includes the old people too.

| Double blimey at 1 and 2 - talk about not afraid to be controversial. But I totally disagree.
1. shows utter lack of human compassion - these are people not animals. Would you care if Pandas were going to be extinct or can they all just fall out of trees and perish too? My mind is boggling. Should we let our own poor, sick, elderly also die and become extinct too?
2. Child *Bad word* isn't like generaly *Bad word* - I cannot think of any possible excuse for having kiddie-smut on your computer or anywhere else.
You've got a point on 3 and 4 though.
And sorry in advance for being judgemental - I know this is supposed to be a thread on unpopular opinions but 1 and 2 were just TOO unpopular for me to ignore.

It's the way it always has been and it's the way it always will be. No we shouldn't let our own poor, sick, elderly also die and become extinct. We should stop throwing money and resources at lost cause countries and put that money and those resources to good use in our own country to make sure our own poor, sick and elderly people are looked after.

| we don't throw money and resources at "lost cause" countries, (in fact we give precious little) many would argue that's the injustice in the world.
It's not evolution, that people are poor either. It's a lot of things, but evolution ain't one of them.
