| Hi I'm Ethel. Joined Helium.com a month ago. Posting articles on-line is new to me. I have a question for anyone. I write dialogue because it makes a story a little more interesting. To be done properly each person speaking goes on a different line. It does makes the story longer and the writing rules don't seem to apply at Helium. What's the answer? Anyone have a suggestion? ethylashe@yahoo.comwww.helium.com/users/405896 | |

| Hi Ethyl, not sure what you mean - or what the question is? x | |

| Hi Ethel,
I am not sure that dialogue is the way to go. Distancing yourself and making the article more magazine style works for me and for many others, though dialogue tends to make the article more specific and harder for others to contribute to the thread.

| Hi. Still new to this posting. Writing dialogue is different from writing paragraphs. Dialogue as it's written in novels. Did a little more research on this. I think it makes a story more interesting but takes me more time. I guess it all depends on your own personal style. Thanks for all the answers. I joined one before and no one answered me. | |

| Are you in to Creative Writing?
If so, you'd probably be better joining a site other than Helium for better, targetted feedback. Helium is more for writing magazine type articles and reviews.

| Thank's for your reply. I really like to do short magazine articles. Not into reviews.
I don't know of any other freelance writing site. I noticed Helium is more into long paragraphs than dialogue.
Do you know of any other? Not a computer person and I don't have the patience finding stuff.

| I think you are wrong and that your articles have a place on the site. It's just a matter of how you approach them. If you ever want to send me any to look over, I can give advice on them and help you to make them Helium friendly without taking out the dialogue. | |

| Okay. I will do that on my next one. Yes, I think Helium has been fair, it's just that everyone else writes such long paragraphs and I found most are really not that interesting.
Question about this site: I never know if I am answering personally or to be posted. Also, why are not all my messages going into my outbox? So far its still empty; also my sent box!
I know I clicked into your personal message, so I'm assuming I'm still there.

I know I clicked into your personal message, so I'm assuming I'm still there. Anything on the forum is public for everyone. If you are more into short stories try www.abctales.com
