| I've just had a thought; a clicking cartel appears to be when a member starts rating another member's reviews with the hope of the same effect to make points get higher or to make more money- but what happens if a member finds a copied review and asks another member to downrate the review? Is it the same as a clicking cartel?

A clicking cartle is where people purposely rate each others reviews to make money and not poin out a review to read, so I would say they are two different things.

| MM Im confused then.
The thought came to me when I was reading a new review by another member, and the review has been received VH's and E's. I however spotted a copied section and have since contacted another member to downrate the review of which they have done - but could it well be considered Ive created a clicking cartel??

| I would guess that by actually trying to influence another member how to rate would break their rules no matter if you were pointing out a wrong. By rules you should have just reported it, I might do a review on Clicking Cartels, it's such a hot topic that has been doing the rounds for years, wud get me loads of reads.....Methinks I will ...... |

| For me a clicking cartel is a group of members merely reading and rating each others reviews exclusively usually there would be a lot of E's or nominations on Dooyoo to try and increase the financial return.
In your example I would have thought that giving a low rating with a comment to support it would be sufficient as in most cases it would alert the next person to read the review.
It should also be reported if it is copying.

| Yeah but Ive done that.. it just highlights a thin line between a clicking cartel when going to other reviewers who have rated copied reviews as something different who didnt know at the time, and me asking them to re-rate. Could that be considered a clicking cartel..?
Or am I just a pain in the Grass?

| Oops maybe I'm a clicking cartel instigator too then? I suggested a product recently and before I got home from work the day I received the email from Ciao to say it had been added someone had already posted a review. I read it only to find it had been copied WORD for WORD from a film review site. I did inform a few people who had rated it VH that it was copied as well as reporting it to Ciao. Am I a bigger grass than young Nar then? | |

| If the review is deleted, which I presume it will be, I am not sure how you stand here as the first reviewer gets the bonus. I would actually check with ciao before posting yours or you may dip out on payment due to you. | |
