| Most of it is because kids lose them..then claim it was knicked because of embarassment or insurance reasons. | |

| Mine is insured under my contents insurance. Doesn't cost any extra but you need to make sure you have a decent policy in the first place. I would NEVER pay for the one the mobile company offer. | |

| I have the Sony Ericsson W800i and so because it is a new phone (well it was a year ago!) they wanted to charge me £20 a month. Im all for getting insurance but not for that much per month. | |

| My phone went to mobile heaven about nine months ago. I have gotten used to not having one now. Over the years I have probably had maybe two stolen, usually when I was pretty inebriated and left my bag lying at the nightclub. | |

| 90% of home insurance covers mobile phone theft but not leaving the stoopid thing on the table in McDonalds and walking off without it whilst mobile phone insurance that you pay monthly for is a crock of shit that only pays out if an Oompa Loompa jumps from behind a four leaf clover and nicks it! | |

| I wouldn't pay for insurance from the phone company either....take the risk. Even if you get one knicked every 5 years, then at £5 a month, that is £300 in premiums already paid out. Rip off!!!!
I never take appliance insurance either, for precisely the same reason. | |

| I agree, seeing as though my phone was free anyway, and I am normally always on my phone because of work reasons so if it went missing I would righ and cancel the account anyway. | |
