| I'm glad dooyoo have taken action on the Top Tens since my absence from dooyoo for a while. I come back to find a new 'Whats in your bag' though-'Whats your favourite sandwich' . I decide not to read even one of the many reviews i have seen under this category.
I hope they do block the Top Tens-i thought it'd be a good idea and then i read about it here. I just hope Top Ten Games or Top Ten Movies arent blocked.

| I truly believe that top ten consumer items such as films and games have a place because they sell products. | |

they dont really have a place. a review might get 35 reads if the author is lucky. It might inspire one person who reads it to buy something. It probably won't though It is of no value to the mythical consumer either, other than makes the site look nasty and juvenile. Better to write 10 decent movie or game reviews, and earn more in the process!

I am not sure that's true Helen. I have bought games upon reading reviews like that as there are many in the shops and the choice is too wide. Trusting the word of regular games writers, I have bought games. At least with games and film ones, you get a quick comparison of them that is easy to read and I must admit I have also bought films.

| I did say one member might buy. I have bought lots of stuff over the years, or rented DVDs or whatever.
THe problem is, that is not stimulating the market exactly is it. It is one member....that is a member perspective, not a dooyoo business perspective

| I actually thought that a music comparison review would be very useful because people know popular stuff and are scared to spend out on new stuff because they do not know what they are getting for their money. I use music comparisons all the time to widen my interest in music. | |

Better to write 10 decent movie or game reviews, and earn more in the process! Never thought of it like that-i suppose it is like 10 somewhat useful reviews really. I still think they have a place though because they still help the consumer and i did plan on doing one before deleting it because i got bored f writing it.
