| Me too, but perhaps as I said on the other thread, they will distribute the premium fund a little more fairly. | |

Yes I am happy, I would rather have a bit every month than a diamond once in a blue moon (4 in five years for me, I think)

| I've never had a diamond. I have nearly half my reviews crowned on dooyoo, but diamondless on Ciao.
It kind of bugs me. | |

| I think I had about 10 diamonds and all during my helpful days to Ciao. When I questioned them about things, the diamonds and the PF fund stopped. | |

Yes you can. Look at the top of a review. There is a RECOMMEND PRODUCT button, well hidden but it works. Go in there, cut and paste the ciao address and your reasons for nomination and send.

| Many moons ago I made a suggestion (at least three years ago and repeated in a cafe article in January) which I still believe it worth the consideration and many readers commented similarly at the time. Prhaps this is the spot to repeat it.
I am aware that 15 major awards are given out each month and these are awarded either £15 or £10 and also a "diamond" by the side of the review's title in the listings. Long may that continue.
When I have been awarded a prize or prizes from the Premium Fund I don't know how much or for which review(s). I would suggest that the use of a scheme similar to Community Points would add a whole new layer of interest and enthusiasm to the Fund. Divide the lesser awards into three or four groups and identify these reviews by similar "gongs" - say £5 "ruby"; £2 "emerald; £1 "sapphire"; 50p "pearl". A different coloured gem could then appear as appropriate in the lists and backdate these awards (Logistically this should be achievable with a very minor bit of reprogramming within the database - I assume that CIAO uses an industry standard SQL database - probably mySQL as the pages are written in php).

You have more faith in systems than I do - I assumed it was a pure lottery!

You have more faith in systems than I do - I assumed it was a pure lottery! It is. You are twice as likely to be struck by lightning as win the jackpot on the lottery, and three times more likely to be struck by lightning than get a diamond on ciao. Henley Research Centre statistics y'know People get stressed about it, but it is a pure lottery (well not quite, you have to be able to write a reasonable review to a point!!)
