| I always use them on the UK site. I have no wish for foreign language books and prefer to read English and it seems to make sense to me that book postage from the UK would be more than the amazon.com prices where sellers seem in the most part to be American based. | |

- Vouchers paid by Dooyoo are Amazon.co.uk vouchers aren't they ?
Thanks for bringing this issue, because I have an existing account with Amazon.com. Unknowingly, my computer directed me to my old account (prior to Dooyoo membership) and while on the process of payment (thru my dooyoo vouchers), I realised that I could not redeemed it. So, I typed on the google search Amazon.co.uk, and what as surprise, it does not change anything in my account. In other words both websites are sharing the same portal for all the accounts which is very convenient for not creating another account. These issues are something that other members should know if they prefer to used Amazon vouchers. Again, the vouchers is only for Amazon.co.uk!

- The disadvantage that I find with amazon vouchers is that you can only use them against new items. If you buy books at the new price, you lose out, because the same books are available second hand much cheaper.
I agree with you, the voucher is only valid for items being managed by Amazon, not by individual sellers. But the good thing here is if you purchase more than 15 pounds (as pointed out by Helencb), then the postage is free, BUT it will be using an ordinary courier, not ROYAL MAIL (first class). You know what, because of my enthuasism to exchange my vouchers with Amazon, I did a mistake of the voucher claim certificate number which at the end the books I selected were paid thru my credit card. Having that, it was delivered first class Royal mail package. So, there is a little inconvenience for the vouchers remittance in terms of postage/delivery. I still prefer to have the vouchers instead of the cheque since it is quite workable for me to order books from Amazon. The only downside is the delivery time.

| Actually buying new books from Amazon themselves I have found the delivery times a lot more reliable and punctual than buying from individuals where I have waited months sometimes. | |

| It is also good thing to know that the dooyoo miles' expiration thru the issuance of the Amazon vouchers is ONE YEAR UPON ISSUANCE OF THE VOUCHERS, NOT FROM THE TIME YOU EARNED FROM YOUR DOOYOO MILES.
I thought, my dooyoo miles will normally xpire on the day/month (on the following year) I registered with Dooyoo. I was wrong.

| Yes, supersaver delivery is free over £15 with a voucher or not...makes no difference
which is why I always buy new off amazon and always over £15...
I sell on amazon of course...but frankly I am amazed that people pay me £2.75 postage...still not complaining (must have made £1K in sales there by now)
I find amazon are excellent, even with supersaver I get my books really quick and their estimates often verge on the side of caution.
I ordered a cook-book last Friday night (a Dooyoo inspired purchase actually...!!!!) ....I got an email Sunday saying despatched, so I expected it Tuesday...I actually got it Monday...how they do that I dont know..!

D Yeah, that is more clearer I believe. Anyway, I just want to make sure that I already used it before it expire. Im quite forgetful tracing those emails confirming the issuance of the vouchers.

Good for you... Im still waiting for a week now for my first order! I think it is the local courier having the problem of the delay. The dispatched reference details come efficiently and we can trace it thru our Amazon account. It is quite convenient for following the whereabout of the order.

| Dont even go there Helen. The member that won the competition on here lost the code for the amazon voucher and I was lucky I hadn't deleted it. I have deleted vouchers before now without having spent them ! I know what you mean. You are referring to the email that tells you you have one coming, not the actual voucher, but it is so easy to do. | |

you apply a gift certificate to your account...then you can delete the email.. That is an alternative way. When I received the confirmation of my second voucher certificate, I put it directly to my account. BUT I dont know how it will happen next if I claimed it without ordering. To make it clearer, my first voucher was around 35 pounds, but I only consumed around 20 pounds, so there's a balance of 15 pounds. The way I understand it is that I will order again, I could still claim it. Hope it works that way!

Thats right... but is it safe to do that? Im not sure... but we can do is check our accounts regularly to see if there is unusual transaction or deduction from our accounts.

If you apply a gift certificate upon ordering, the money in your account will automatically be used for the payment, but if your order exceeds the amount you have saved, then you need to pay the difference. That's why I usually like to have an excess of something like £4-5 there so I won't get snagged by shipping and stuff and still have something to fall back on.

Well if you respond to a phishing email and give your password away, then no..!!!! But otherwise, what's the difference, it is a lot easier

| Go to www.amazon.co.uk Go to "your Account" menu at top, near RHS Half way down under "Payment Settings" there is a link saying "Add a Gift Certificate to your account" select this, input account log on or password etc, and then paste the Gift Voucher Code into the box and press "Claim Now" THe Current Balance will increase immediately, or will be created if you were on £0 before that. | |

| Must admit I have always cashed out from Dooyoo on a regular basis when I hit either £10 or £20 and then cut and paste the voucher code to a word document and use them all when I have a certain amount or it is time to buy presents for the ankle biters.
I assume when you cash out if you add them to yur Amazon acount that they use the oldest one first otherwise you could get into trouble with expiry dates although like the others the fact that the Dooyoo ones last for 12 months means I never have a problem.
