ADDING PHOTOS

How do you add a photo to your profile or to reviews ?

Adding photographs is straightforward. If you go to the hotel or attraction page, the second option on the Name of the Item (it's in yellow) is "Add a picture"
Click on that and you are presented with a upload screen:
Name of file: that's the name of the photograph on your computer (NB It must be jpg and less than 100kb)
Showing: Drop down list, choose the most approrpiate
Comment: Your title for the picture
Taken on: Drop down list for month and year of image
There is a check box to confirm your copyright of the image
Then "Send"
You can add up to five images for any one "hotel" or "attraction"

The alternative way is to click the "Upload Pictures" button which takes you to the same screen.

COMMUNITY NOTE: Your photograph will be confirmed by a member of level 5 or above. Rejections are usually for mis-spellings or duplicate additions.

POINT SCORE: 50 points per photograph (Always 100% when confirmed)

To add your photograph to your profile, click:
My trivago: (top right of page)
Options: (far right tab)
Picture: (option 5)

Then browse for your jpg file and click "Update picture"

For clarification: think of the pictures you add as "belonging" to the hotel or attraction and not directly to your review

You can even upload photos without writing a review. And unlike with ciao you get credits for your pictures.
