| Well it's entertainment related.
What with this heavy rain and at times thunder recently, the no signal message appears on the screen. I know in Sky's book of words it does mention that bad weather can effect the transmission, but this is just ridiculous. Even when it's hot, it's been known to play up. Has anyone else had this problem, especially with the latest spell of bad weather. My concern is that when the analogue signal is dead, and we all switch over to digital that we'll be paying for something we're not receiving. I have the full package, and if global warming gets to the stage that scientists say it will, then bad weather will be the norm. Lisa x

| not since we had sky+ but we did before and they just said our box was getting old and they would send someone out to have a look but would cost loads of money. I think it kept getting stuck as well as signal going. | |

| I really wonder what'll happen when the big switch over happens? They can't expect people to fork out money, for a service that's interupted by the weather. I really hope they fix the problem! Lisa x | |

| I have freeview, not sky, but sometimes the digital picture breaks up so much I switch over to the regular signal.
With that and poor quality rental DVDs breaking up, it's impossible to watch anything of any quality!

| Unfortunatly though they're doing away with analogue in the near future. With reagrds to rental DVD's I've been lucky, and only had about 3 dodgy ones out of around 100. Lisa x | |

| did you turn it off and then turn it back on after 5 mins? That usually fixes mine. | |

I always find turning stuff off then on again covers most situations...especially for us non-teccies

I reckon I have about 40-50 dodgy ones of around 100. Certainly with these on line rental clubs anyway, probably not so high when I got off my behind and went to the rental shop itself. Problem is, you watch them, they suck, you send them back, don't tell them, and they go out again...

| just be thankful you have sky and not NTL. NTL is fine during storms and all because it's all underground but they generally just have loads of technical issues, like interactive not working properly and the box just freezes a lot when trying to change channels...
worst of all is their customer service, they are crap! you are lucky to get through! and even then you usually speak to some brain dead idiot who tells you to "turn the box off and back on again" when you are ringing to complain that the remote control is broke!!
ok my NTL rant is over....phew...feel so much better now!

| I'll certainly try turing it off and then on again, but that doesn't help if your recording something. I normally just switch back over to analogue, but as I said we won't have that for much longer. Has everyone got the standard small dish with theirs? Lisa x | |
