| I think I would tell them to get stuck into eating, and then try again. | |

| Don't shoot me for this but I want to refer to one I saw recently entitled 'this really works' which then explained that she did it a few years ago and put half the wait back on again so she was doing it again.
Which part of 'no it doesn't really work, does it' didn't she understand?

| No, I shan't shoot you. I hardly think everyone is going to run to take a look, but please don't do it again, or I shall make you eat Lipotrim for a month. | |

| Just a quicky to let people know that Duskmaiden is no longer the Book guide. I've been asked to take over as the new book Guide (while staying on as Sports guide) for the time being.
Maybe the Guide list on here could be amended.

| I see that they've still got Angus up as the other beauty guide, when he hasn't been for ages. Well done Mauri for being the current book guide. Lisa x | |

Thanks. The list does need to be updated, I hope Dooyoo do something soon. I've taken over books hopefully as a temporary measure, if anyone wants to guide in books maybe for the time being with me as co-guide please let Jared know. In general if anyone fancies guiding contact Jared, it doesn't matter what category, all applicants are welcome.

| Rachel with a view to get more people to apply for guiding could we not include the official message from Dooyoo directly at the top of the guide list on this site? I know we have a link to the FAQ section which included the info link but it would be easier to just have the message displayed here. It states How do I become a Community Guide? If you feel you would make a good Community Guide you will need to: Show you rate fairly Have a passion for helping others Understand how dooyoo works Try to read all the reviews in your chosen category Be prepared to volunteer your time and energy Have written a good number of reviews with crowns in many of them.
If you are interested in being considered as a guide and believe you have the time and enthusiasm necessary then email dooyooteam@dooyoo.co.uk outlining why you would like to guide and which categories you would be best suited to.

| They should also probably add npot to expect any sort of response for a few weeks given the current situation where the guide forum is down, the guide site has pictures of people who left the role months ago and I have not seen any announcements about competitions on the community page. | |

| I'm sure Jared is going to make an official announcement very soon but in the meantime we've been told that the following categories need filling...
Audio & Hi-Fi Food & Drink Kids Movies (free at the end of the month) Photography Sevices
Any takers contact Jared asap
and remember if there are other categories you are interested in contact Jared and let him know.

| Actually that's a pretty good official announcement right there. I'm still sorting out a few potential guides (as in I might have one for Services & Movies but nothing is definite yet) but if you're interested and I've overlooked you, drop me a line. Also, I am making a list of people interested in guiding categories that aren't open yet. This will be so that if a guide has to retire quickly or something we can replace them without a week or two of hunting. You know, because guide-less categories make me sad. They also mean fewer crowns because I don't have time to browse everything. -jared | |
