| I would like to apologise if I did some confusion here. But for my curiousity, I just want to clear out something that new members are discovering with dooyoo features and how I could use it.
Thanks for being cooperative. Rey

- without restarting the whole debate about commenting on other members ratings, I do fail to see your logic in rating such a review as helpful, while following the rating guidelines on the site...as it isnt a review at all. The answer to the question asked would have been posted here for you as soon as a Guide got the definitive answer (and I did ask the question, as I said I would, but obviously would not hear back immediately..)
When I rated the express review as 'useful' was not with Dooyoo guidelines, but rather in the sense of proving my curiousity if I could rate such review and it became useful in the sense that it provided me some answers to my queries which: express reviews are still posted but not appearing in the new review list, and express reviews can be rated as well. Therefore, my rating in that particular review is an academic exercise, thus without that good example posted recently I did not discover two significant findings as I mentioned earlier. Of course, using the Dooyoo guidelines I will rate it 'not useful'... Im impatient enough to wait for the answer. Honestly, Im a kind of person who wants to take all the possibilities to answer the things bothering me and somehow explore the unknown. Maybe Im just persistent to discover it while waiting for others to find it as well. My apology for any confusion that Ive caused.

| Rachel, thanks for that. I was just annoyed in the reply for the rating I did for express review which I mentioned earlier...
Anyway, for the sake of Dooyoo rating guidelines, I changed my rating on that particular express review 'not useful' which I thought it is not possible, but I can... It means that any previous rating you have posted could be changed. I think this will also apply to the premium reviews.

| Not sure I see the point of rating express reviews though since no one gets paid for them, other than to get dooyoo to delete those that do not aid the public to some small measure or give valid opinion. | |

| The same thing with me: whats the point of having the rating for this express-review if there's no benefits for the readers and the one who posted it. Anyway, it is an academic exercise that something we could raise to Dooyoo Team, and personally it turned out my previous understanding with express reviews or even short reviews was entirely wrong. | |

| I think dooyoo probably have bigger fish to fry at the moment, though someone could ask at a later date. | |

| yes you can change rates , especially useful if you have been rating on the other side and have rated from the wrong end..as it were!!
I guess it is unlikely you will ever hit an express review any more though...unless they are on the topic you are reading, but even then it might be a game of chance.
It certainly doesnt count anyway, my earnings didnt go up..!
sorry if you didnt like my reply C_T...but as we have been discussing rates for days and you had described your reasoning for your rate I thought it was worth further discussion (otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it..!)

| I dont think there is anything wrong with the "short" reviews though..they can be very useful , in numbers..as it were as well as snippets of info..
I guess they dont get rated much when they are written, only if and when they are ever read. Given mine was there over five years without a single rate, I guess it isn't a pressing matter.

| I remember when the express reviews were introduced years ago I did not take to them. I might use them now if I am desperate but I was wondering, I'm not sure if the word count had always been 75, but is there a point to these if someone could pad out a review so that it qualifies for premium? I mean obviously the ratings won't be good but you still get the money. | |

| I know there is no money for express, but when word count >75 then it is Premium. | |

| What I was wanting to say, if I was writing my Express review, my word count was such and such why not pad it (or not), get it above 75 then it was paying even if I get crap ratings?
Is there a need for Premium reviews? Has the word count always been 75?

| They are short reviews now, and yes, if you write over 75 words then you get paid..It has been 75 words for a long time certainly.
If there was no premium reviews, most of us would give up and go home, that's what most writers like doing...! I dont think there is anything wrong with short reviews, but 75 words or less is very tight for most products.

| Yes I know.
Say I am around I was planning to write an express opinion then I get near 70 words, why don't I just pad it so that it's no longer an express, at least I get paid but so what with the ratings???
What do you think? | |
