Online Petitions

It appears that the anti road mileage charging petition on the government website has now reached over 1 million signatures yet the government still plan to ignore public opinion.

I added my name to it today.

These online petitions are really cool - I've signed 3 of them so far and I think it's a great example of democracy in action (or rather it would be if I thought that the govt. would take a blind bit of notice).

I think it is possible these petitions are being listen to. It was annouced yesterday that West Berkshire have no intention of using the pay-per-mile scheme

More importantly there is a petition to have the Spandau Ballet song Gold played instead of the national anthem at the next Olympics.
