| I thought it was common knowledge that if you partake in a moderating role of some sort on any Forum or Community site, then abuse from a group of numpties is part and parcel of undertaking the role. But you accept it on being appointed and grow a thick-skin and the ability to say "meh!" when wildly misplaced accusations are directed your way. It's possibly a reason that people are unwilling to take up the role because they're not thick skinned enough and take the comments from idiots a little too personally...
...as well as a lack of advertising!

| I never got any abuse when I was a guide - I know I only did it for a year and in relatively calm and serene categories but still - it's not that bad is it? | |

Based on that, I'd make a great guide! Third thread ongoing!

| I don't think it's that bad Wendy. Yes, you'll get some icky comments from time to time but otherwise it's not too bad at all. Sometimes reading the generic accusations in members' ops can feel a bit personal but then we all know that it's rubbish! Save for Phil, who is always right! | |

Nope more the sweeping statements in reviews and comments are the ones that annoy some guides especially when they stumble across our plans to carve up the crowns amongst the chosen few, that is just annoying and means we have to throw a few token crowns to the pack.

I could but I was informed when i took on the role that participation in the forum is not essential ...which I why I feel aggrieved not to get a reply when i have three times tried to communicate with Dooyoo.

...which I why I feel aggrieved not to get a reply when i have three times tried to communicate with Dooyoo. Thing is with the forum you have a better chance of catching their attention, unless you have a personal e-mail of Jared or Elise your mail ends up with the mass of other ones they get.

| No idea. The guide group has been distictly input free (from dooyoo) since Jared's departure. Maybe they're working on something. Maybe not. | |

| Couple of new guide appointments to fill two of the vacancies
New in the photography category is thebigc1690. Also stepping in to fill the gap in the Services category is collingwood21.
Shroud is shifting across to be co-guide in books and has droped photography. She still guides Ankle biters and single parenting.

| Football, rugby, hockey, tennis, athletics and swimming are all sports. Thought you might have known that matie. However the following rules mean it is not a sport if;
You can play it drunk e.g darts, snooker You do it to music e.g ice skating, synchro swimming Dogs can play it e.g frisbee You can wear long trousers to play it e.g cricket, golf.
Other than that there is no news on a sports guide, they must be still considering the finer points of Phils application.
