| What is your experience of Dooyoo as a site ? How did you find dooyoo in the first place and what are the changes for the better or worse that have happened since you have been a member ? | |

| Heard form it via Ciao, as I was there first. I used it at first and read fairly actively, then did nothing for a couple of years (bar cross post a few times a year). I only went back towards the begining of this year, when I learned (from you yourself Rachel) that the suggest category thing was better, so since then I churned a few old ones from ciao, biding time until I went on holiday and had something new to write about.
So the product Suggestion thing is a positive and a change for the better. I can't say anything has changed for the worse. It was 3p a read when I got there, I am sure.
I prefer it to Ciao now, as there is less of the mutual back slapping going on. (although the mad categories were creeping in recently, which was a worrying trend I guess)

| Heard from my cousins Katygriff and Samgriff who love the site and said i'd be good at it (how wrong i was considering early reviews ). No real changes in the last few months except my reviews getting better, and guides changing. | |

| I was introduced to Dooyoo by a guide at ciao, and the site used to be very quiet indeed with very few reads. It has speeded up now and pays well, and I love the new product proposal thingy. It's a good site, though I did have to change my reading glasses ! | |

| I was at Ciao, heard that Dooyoo is a great place where many are migrating to, and jumped after. Took a little time getting accustomed to the place (navigation proved to be more challenging as a beginner), but I do think it is on the whole a better place that Ciao in terms of overall content and rating behaviour. And I do enjoy the monopoly of being about the only one adding and reviewing film scores and classical music over there. HAHAAA.
As for changes, I haven't been there long enough to really notice.

| Like the majority I started on Ciao and then switched to Dooyoo as the rewards were so much better and on Ciao I found the shear number of members confusing while Dooyoo seemed to have about 40 to 60 active members which made it easier to build up the number of reads you attracted by being active yourself.
Initially while on Dooyoo I found it slow to upload and annoying however when I switched to broadband things improved.

| After searching on a few products via google/yahoo, dooyoo reviews appeared a few times and before long I started to search Dooyoo itself as well as the global searches. If I'm going to spend a reasonable amount of money on a product, be it for work or home I prefer to read several consumer reviews first. Early days for me with regards review writing as opposed to just reading but I am enjoying it. The one thing I regret is that I read many reviews before I became a member of dooyoo, so no one got the 3p's they deserved. | |

| I started off on Dooyoo, flirted with Ciao a bit, then went back to Dooyoo only. I joined ages ago - along with a bunch of other writers. I believe we were all members of BeanzBoard, but we're going back such a long time now. The rewards were far more lucrative in the beginning, but the reviews were much less useful. The sort of op that gets a SU rating now, used to get a VU. In my opinion, whilst the payout has gone down, the quality of the site has gone up. | |

| I have already said how i found dooyoo (through my cousins). They told me but i forgot the website-so whilst searching i came across ciao. I didnt post for ages though because dooyoo if far better in terms of payment and all. Except for the odd few-my favourite members are mainly on dooyoo too since i have been on there more | |

| Dooyoo has changed a great deal since I started there. Product proposals were not as easy then and there were certainly not as many active members. My attitude towards dooyoo has changed as well. It's a serious site and I tend to be more serious about my reviews for dooyoo and find that it has made me a better review writer and understand more what reviews should be like, although of course I was on Ciao a lot more in the early days. I think dooyoo is what you put into it and if you rate and read seriously and produce the best you can then it makes the experience better. | |

| Yeah Write 33 reviews. I always tend to stick to dooyoo anyway-i find ciao alot harder to navigate around-plus i know less members. Dooyoo seems to just be better altogether. (Sorry BadCompany:)) Ciao is only good for the cafe | |

| Heh, well, as I'm only averaging about 5 or 6 reviews a year it kind of depends on your definition of 'doing alright'... From what I remember it was a little bit less busy than things are now - this is going back before the 'wilderness years' that saw membership and activity plummet. It was a very good community though, similar sort of feel to how it is now. Obviously churning was a very attractive proposition though, with the payment per posted review - but it was very very obvious when that was going on, and while they gained in posting more reviews they lost overall as no bugger would read them... Oh, and it wasn't all roses - crowns only earned you a quid back then. | |

| I don't remember getting paid for posting a review, but 10p a read sounds about right. And I joined in August 2000 - which was after the rates had already gone a bit. | |

| Going back a lot of years I was getting a £50 cheque from Dooyoo every 3 weeks plus they actually had a community as well...I still like Dooyoo and still rate on it on a daily basis my friend Butters and when I come back from holiday I intend to post on it a bit more often as it does way better..... | |
