HOW MUCH DO YOU DOOYOO ?

Just a general topic here, but how many reviews on average do you rate a day ?

I usually have a look through the new in list and if I find something I like to read about I read and rate. There are days when I read 20, others I just can't be bothered and leave without reading anything.

I really don't like it when (new) members start posting 5 or more reviews in a row. This normally means they are all of low quality and I get bored looking for the ones I want to read.

I actually enjoy the challenge of letting members that are new know what reviewing is about. No one told me when I started and had I known, I would have been better. I think tellling them that it's not a message board and letting them know what reviews are supposed to do helps them enormously.

I noticed a new member the other day chucking out reviews so fast, it's a wonder they could keep up with themselves! They were all copied, and hence to say, all not helpful! Geez, he/she just wasn't getting the message!

It depends how many reviews I rate in a day. Sometimes a few, sometimes quite a few!

I tend to go in fazes of reviewing everyday, then not at all for a week or so. I reviewed something which i suggested like i do a lot and write a massive review because i was hoping to get a first review reward. Someone beat me to it be 9 minutes and it was a short review that you could tell had little effort put into.

MODERATED : IT's ok butters you are new, but we don't point to reviews.

It's not actually who writes the first review on dooyoo that matters or counts as to whether you get a crown or not. It's quality of review that counts.

I really must spend a bit more time on Dooyoo, not been on it for over a week now, sorry am I rambling on................

That should have no bearing on crown awards.

The crown awards are a bit sporadic at the mo I have noticed. Certain categories seem to be virtually devoid of crowns in the last week and beyond (Examples being Motors, Services, Campus and Careers, Fashion and Beauty). I don't know whether it is a coincidence that these have been Guideless for a long time. If it isn't then it is worrying tha good reviews may be getting missed due to lack of Guide nomination. Previously reviews have been crowned regardless of whether a category is being covered.

I am not sure whether that is true or not, and haven't looked at figures, though I understand that member nominations count so will continue to nominate if I feel a review merits it.
