| Logged on and noticed all the changes-the whote background. The review column seems narrower too. Its not a major change but i like it less-i always preferred the green background because it looked more professional IMO and less like ciao. Anyone like it more? | |

| I think it is unfair to judge til after about a week of using it. It took me ages to get used to the old layout and think all members should give it a while before judging it. | |

| My first impressions are the same as butters, much prefer the black text on a green background as opposed to white, much easier on the eye. The tab folders seem a good idea though. But with anything new, Rachel is right, you do need to give it a bit of time. | |

| Yeah, you do need to give it time but i have always preferred the dooyoo review layout to ciao because the ciao background makes it look less professional and dooyoo is/was easier to the eye. | |

| When you look for reviews now, there is a phrase that I don't think was there before, encouraging members of the public to submit reviews. Not a bad idea at all. - Quote :
- Have you used this product as well? Our tip: Write your own review and tell others about your experience. It's easy - you don't even need to be a member. Help other consumers to make an informed decision. And if you want to enjoy the advantages of a dooyoo membership, you can register for free later on.
Question - why would you not need to be a member ?

| Maybe dooyoo are missing out on an opportunity because if they had a well worded invitation to join the site there, they may get more people, and they could also use it to ask people to write about the product from their point of view with the pros and cons. I think ciao are better at inviting people and that dooyoo could gain loads of members if they had more prominent invitations to join and explanations of how it all works. | |

| I opened up my Gmail review to go find the members who had been rating it (since mine is fairly close to the top, I figured I'd be able to track down a lot of members writing newer reviews that way) and underneath the category bit ("gmail.google.com") there was a new link - "what's your experience"?
I clicked on it, and it took me to edit my review. Next to the right of the editing box, it said:
"Congratulations
Your review is 2208 words long. Your opinion is now a premium review.
Register after you have submitted your review in order to win dooyooMILES."
Since I tend to write longer reviews, I can't figure out if all new reviews are called "premium" or just the long-winded ones. It hasn't affected my position within the category - newer reviews go on top - so I'm not very sure if this premium thingy does anything. Anyone else noticed this change to the site?

| Yes, I noticed it too and I believe it is dooyoo's way of distinguishing between a non member quick review, and a real paying one. Once you hit the word target, it becomes a paying one, and one where you need to be a member to submit. | |

| Oh, I didn't even realise non-members could do quick reviews... Okay, I've just clicked on a random product, and it says if I write under 75 words, it automatically becomes a quick review and oer 75 words becomes a premium review. I couldn't figure out how to do quick reviews before; this is really useful. | |

| i like to layout of the new page when reading reviews. it seems better that its more center.
I know people say that the write in to small on the screen, so here is a tip that may help you to read it better.
If you holded down the Control button and then press the + button it will zoom in and make the wording bigger and you also can zoom out by press the - button.
This will work on any site on the web, i'm uding firefox so i dont know if this also works on internet expoler.
Hope this helps some of you. Eddie

| Just noticed something. May have been there before but I don't think so. When you submit a review, you are given the opportunity of sending it to email addresses. Think this might encourage more membership. What do you think about it ? | |

| yeah, I think I would be a bit embarrassed to send my review to someone I knew. Maybe to a compnay if I had written about them (postively!) but not a mate. | |

You are probably right. Never used it and can't think of anyone I would send reviews to.

| I have sent the occasional review to someone, but I doubt I would do it via the link, would just send the URL for the page in an email to someone who had expressed some interest in something I had done (e.g. visited a spa etc).
On a separate subject, the new reviews from non members now appear in the list with their name not underlined. Most likely these people have been doing their research read a review and added their 4p worth, as the site invites them to do. I think it is therefore academic to make comments on what makes a good review or point out the spelling and grammar mistakes which many members are inclined to do with normal members. Instead comments should focus purely on the topic at hand (which I believe they should overall anyway, although I have been known to lapse after reading a pile of churn) Does anyone agree?

| Not sure about it at all. They may be passers by, but they might also be potential members. What is more worrying is the fact that they have names at all, and that the first one that appeared had the name of a dooyoo user. I think treating them the same as all other reviews is the way to go, but I may be wrong. | |

Yeah, but if I read something then simply added my four pence worth and it forms a review and someone gave me a lesson in grammar, spelling and how to write a consumer review when in reality I only went there to voice discontent at a product, I would think the site was, well, nuts! I have said that before even with new members, but with this style of review it seems crazy/futile.
