| its amazing how quickly the money starts to build. I have been there since the start of the year and am up to...wait for it...$2.37. Okay its not much but its probably on par with Ciao and the increase seems to be getting faster. All i did was re-post a load of ciao reviews and then wrote a few historical based bits.
I tend to find that the standard that we write to get a Ciao VH or even an H is more than suffiecent to get a decent place for an article in the rating system.

that is true but dosnt that mean that its easier for you to write a higher ranked article and thus get into the money earning bracket.

| Update: The review about the hotel is stuck at $0.01 but a silly no-brainer about the exciting topic "How Helium differs from Wikipedia?" posted yesterday afternoon which probably no-one in the world would be interested in except Helium users has earned me $0.02 - giving me the incredible total of... $0.02 (no, it's not a typo. That's my account balance there 1+2=2. Anybody hohome? LOL) | |

| So I've read somewhere that on Helium you write articles, is that not the same as the reviews we write on dooyoo or ciao? Lisa x | |

| I would be careful how you do it. It's basically an information base. In other words, music reviews and film reviews and books fine. Other things, be careful where you put it and make sure it is relevant to the topics, and sometimes you have to change your review to be less commercial and more informative if you get what I mean. | |

| They want articles not really from a commercial point of view, but more from a users. Prices and stuff isn't that important unless you are making comparisons. Remember to change sterling and put dollars as well. | |

| I'm confused as if say your article is postive then your selling the product in a way and the opposite if your review is negative. Lisa x | |

| I suppose its a different way of thinking. Its passing information on whether good or bad. I have edited many of the articles that I have on there as they do not seem to suit the site. Others I have just pasted. | |

| think of it as a wikipedia type resource. Its not driven by product and points of sale. Its a resource that search engines feed from for more general information. As "front page Rach" said things like books and films seem okay but its less driven by things like washing machines and food reviews and more about "how do I" "where can I" "what do you think of" etc. | |

| Well I've given it a go. Posted an article about a singer, slightly changed from one I posted on Ciao (I hope this is OK?) but it has yet to appear on the site. I've rated quite a bit but the standard of the articles isn't that good but has someone said ciao and dooyoo strated a bit like this. | |

| If you have initiated the category it may take a few days before it shows. The watchword with this site in your early stages is "patience" | |

| Ok I’m confused! I’ve been rating quite a bit on the site but I always seems to be rating the same topics and usually the same article seem to come up why?
Also how does the ranking of articles work? The ones at the top of the rankings list seem to be of very poor quality usually no more that a 100 words and only making a very general comment on the topic, why have these not been replaced by better ones further down the list?
Also it states in the Q&A
“Keep in mind, the more ratings you provide, the more your submissions will be rated and the better your chances are to make it to the top of the list.”
How does this work! | |

| Looks to me there are two options. Either rate with the two screen thing or take a look around the site and read what you are interested in and flag inappropriate content with the tools at the top of the site. Either way member get paid, but reading around the site pays members for their writing but does not sort. I think a cross section of both activities is healthy and have done both. | |

| I can't see how to rate anything apart from clicking on the rate button which takes me to the 'two screen' rating box whcih tend to repeat the same articles... When I click on an article I can read it but I don't see any way of rating or even flagging up inappropriate contents as you say...I am just being fik! Quite possible | |

| Its not a question of always rating. Its a question of dividing your time between rating on the normal page and reading articles that interest you which pays the writer. When you read articles, if you find any in the wrong place, you can flag them with the tools thing at the top of the screen and that is equally as useful to the site. | |
