| The last two product suggestions I have made have gone as normal until after I hit the submission button and then an error message appears, a couple of days after the first one was attempted I did get vthe e-mail with the link to it so thought nothing of it and went ahead and posted the review but have just had the same happen whe suggesting a new book suggestion (the first one was a cafe suggestion). Anyone else having the same problem? | |

| I cannot honestly remember, only done one proposal lately...
I do know that every time I have tried to post a review, I get the "site unavailable" type page, and I never get the normal page to confirm review is loaded, with the options to go to account, pictures etc.... However when I log back on, my review is always there

| Found it again. Maybe I was just really tired but I swear it wouldn't come up no matter what I did. And I'm used to expecting the unexpected from Ciao. Not that I actually use it much anymore. | |

| Well, since Ciao have refused to list Ghoulies 2 as an individual DVD on account of the double bill DVD of 1&2 already being on the site, I'm in a quandary as to how I should post it and move on. It doesn't seem reasonable to do a film only review of just one film on a double bill. And I've no intention of watching the other film purely to put up a review.
I might just shove it up under things beginning with G for the heck of it.
Feel free to suggest anything.
I have a similar (but slightly different) problem with Dooyoo, but I'm happy to review the double bill in that case. That's yer teaser for the next film. lol.

| Hmm that is a problem then, if they steadfastly refuse I guess your only choice is to put it under things beginning with G, cant see any other way round it without seeing the other film. Of course there is another suggestion.... Whats the problem with Dooyoo? As the film guide over there i might be able to help you out wth that one. | |

| I would just put it on dooyoo.
There is absolutely no point to a consumer - putting it under G!!!

I'm reviewing a sequel that is only available on DVD as a double bill with the first film. Dooyoo rejected the sequel in the VHS category. I didn't get time to see the reason as it was deleted from suggestions and my email too soon. Really doesn't matter though as I'm familiar with the original and happy to write up both. Since when did you become Guide? I know I don't keep up but I thought it was Hogsflesh? You'll probably tell me you've been doing for a year or something now. lol. - helencbradshaw wrote:

There is absolutely no point to a consumer - putting it under G!!! I totally agree. I've already posted it to Dooyoo, but I'm doing a series of reviews and if I can't post the review it will leave an annoying gap. Hence the quandary. I've no interest in kicking up a fuss with Ciao and sometimes I'm happy to do something like this just to spite them. Ultimately I'm the one who'll get no pennies from it - at least I'll plug the gap though. If it was a category that Dooyoo also refused I wouldn't feel so bothered. But Dooyoo have it, so Ciao should too.

| Hogflesh bowed out at end of March and I took over from him around about then, a bit of cross over as neither of us really quite knew for certian when the change over was. So you not missed out noticing for a long time Dooyoo dont accept anything in the VHS category anymore as far as I know. | |

Oh. I'll have to keep that in mind or it might prove problematic.

| I don't see what the problem is on dooyoo- the DVD category is essentially the film category. Suggest it and post it in the DVD category reviewing only the film - that's what everyone else does? | |

| As for Ciao - post it under "Andrex Moist Toilet Tissue". Based on the usual criteria you might even get a diamond. | |

Actually you should post it under a mobile phone category to get a crown however make sure you review every single scene of the film just to make certain.

I had a movie declined as it wasn't available in DVD. There is a VHS version only but Dooyoo wouldn't accept it. Things seem to be much tighter now, Phil.

| I think the point seems to be that there is no point reviewing anything that isnt available on DVD as it cant actually be bought anywhere. I can see Dooyoo's point as there is little value in a review of something you cant buy. | |

| I know with Dooyoo they only need some sort of release number or something to post it in the DVD section hence you see current movies being already reviewed at the same time they are released in the cinema, Jared did say the technical term for it but I do not remember it, mayybe it is the same for Ciao | |

Ah yes but the makers will have already lined up a DVD release for the film and therefore it will have a DVD release code set up for it which means they can add it to the database ... or something like that. Jared did explain it to me at some stage but I've forgotten the exact explanation of it.

I decline to answer that for fear of incriminating myself

I decline to answer that for fear of incriminating myself I always saved all of his comments into a seperate file so that they could be easily recalled and also quoted from when I write the book / film / opera / product review of his life however while Granny was dusting she knocked a small glass thimble onto the key board which hit the delete button and everything was lost. You will all agree that the literary/ film / theatre/ review site worlds loss is a great one.
