OK.

Now that I have FINALLY finished my degree (YAY!!!!!) I finally should have time to read some books other than those based on marketing (dull, dull, dull).

SOOOO, I am looking for some suggestions. I will be catching up with some Dan Brown novels, and will be re-reading the Chronicals of Narnia from my childhood but would like to know of others that may be worthwhile.

To give ya'all an idea of what I like? Well, I do like Grisham books, my fav book in the world is the Hitchhikers Guide (so things along that vein would be class), love a good comedy, do like Ben Elton and can be quite partial to the odd biography (auto inc).

So, bring it on!

Song of Fire and Ice by George R.R Martin Drew. I can really see you loving it. Escapist fantasy with a political thriller edge to it. Tom Holt's "The Portable Door" is crackin' and bears comparison to Adams and if you haven't read Elton's "Dead Famous" then you would enjoy that.

I have actually read Dead Famous however I thought High Society was a MUCH better book.

Will look at those other suggestions though, cheers Dave.

Yep, I'd have to second that. I'm the slowest reader in the world but I motored through four Song of Ice & Fire books in about a month and a half - incredible scale and superb characters; they're absolutely brilliant. Smile
