| I recently suggested a product. When I go to 'My Suggestions' to track my suggestions, nothing shows up. So, thinking that maybe my suggestions had got 'lost' I decided to suggest it again but the message came back that this product had recently been suggested. I trawled dooyoo to see if it had been put up in the new products but it hasn't. Is it something I'm doing wrong? I have used the 'Track my suggestions' facility before and have been able to see whereabouts in the queue it was. Maybe there's a bug I don't know of? | |

| If you leave it in there too long before posting they disappear, or so it seems. Still if you knwo what the product is then just search for it int heir database, thats what I do as I know they are in there because they were in my suggestions box! | |

| Mine disappeared about a week after I submitted it. I think it's a glitch personally. | |

| The whole issue of adding new topics is a problem. I've posted a thread here about the frustrations of the current process.
Those to whom Dooyoo have outsourced responsibility for adding new topics appear to clear out member's lists of suggestions on a regular basis although as far as I can see they should only clear out those that have been dealt with. It could well be that they examined your suggestion, rejected it (like they regularly seem to do!) and then wiped your list clean, before you had a chance to discover its fate.
Try adding it again. I'm going to do so with mine, over and over again until they get the message that this is a MEMBER's website not an Advertising Agency.

| [quote="grahamt"] Try adding it again. quote] As per my post, I did try adding it again but the info came back that the product had already been suggested. I only put the product proposal forward last week so it's not as if it's been lying around for ages waiting for me to do write it. Will wait a bit longer and see. I proposed the same product at the same time to Ciao and lo! it came back the next day and now I've posted it there. Swings and roundabouts! | |

| My suggestions have been going through, although with the occaisional mistake, but they have deleted them from the list within a day of doing them.
Wouldn't normally be a problem but one item which was listed doesn't show up in a site search. I had to use the confirmation email that I nearly trashed to find it.
If they'd set up something consistent like a monthly cleanout I'd be happier. Its better to know what to expect.

| I'll ask in the guide forum if there is a hard and fast rule about how long the suggestions are left on our "about me". | |

An excellent suggestion/solution that's just been passed on to the Powers that Be (not the ones from Buffy/Angel, I'm talking about the tech gurus). -jared

| First, apols if I seem to have posted and run... my 2-year-old Dell died a couple of months ago & I am using my old Tiny which is so slow it's like watching paint dry! I am still not able to either find my suggested product nor propose it..... I give up! | |

| Did you get a link for your proposal in an email, or did that fail? Lisa x | |
