| I just went back to my dooyoo account and found a message from the dooyoo team regards my recent suggestion which appeared to have been 'lost'. The suggestion I put forward was for an offline shop and was quite clearly proposed for the category of OFFLINE SHOPPING MISC. Their reply to my query was: This is kind of strange. This website is, unless we're missing something major, NOT an online shop. If you can show us what we're missing, please email us at info@dooyoo.co.uk I definitely give up! Although I have emailed them as suggested to point out that the product suggestion was for OFFLINE shopping | |

| Very strange indeed! I had a similar prob ages ago with regards to a beauty product. The wrong image and info was put up, even though I had given them the correct link to both. They tried to sort it out and was sure that what they'd put up was right, however after a while they gave up and it never did get sorted. Lisa x | |

| Ah, the sins of the past. Well, freak problems, really.
I just got your email so, I'm sorry that you've given up but I can still look into fixing this. I think the mistake was, well, exactly that. Suggestions are handled by people and we don't get a lot of Offline shop suggestions that have websites that at first glance SEEM like it's talking about an online shop. So, Offline got read as Online. Simple as that. You should have an email from me talking about this shortly.
And Lisa...if you're talking about what I think you're talking about....the make-up company in question changed their website (and discontinued the product if memory serves) between the time you suggested it and the time we took a look at it. That was a serious pain and I'm sorry it never got sorted out. In our defense, what we did add to the database was the closest thing we could find on their site. Sure it ended up being wrong, but it was a right as we could get it. Of course this was a while back, so I might be mis-remembering. If you still want it added just send me an email with a link to what it was. -jared

| Cheers Jared, communication just stopped for some reason on the product. Not a lot of point in adding it now as it would be a difficult product to get hold of, but thanks anyway. Lisa x | |

| To be fair, a tech guru sort of made me sit in the corner for a while for mentioning the dooyoo Blog. As in I got a time-out and no recess that day. Mainly because while it IS coming, we want to makes sure everything else works smoothly when it launches. Which means it takes time. So I didn't mean to get your hopes up too soon.
Oh and for what it's worth, I'm excited about it as well. But you'll have to be patient. I'll keep you posted and as SOON as I know when it'll launch I'll let you know.

| To be honest, I think the blog - or some enhanced communication mechanism - is more valuable when things are going wrong than when they are running smoothly.
If there's a problem, RWF members have the benefit of your messages over here - all dooyoo members should have that in my opinion.
Go tell that to the propeller-head who stopped your playtime!

-jared I'm still waiting for news one way or the other to see if my review suggestion will be accepted!! I never heard another word since I posted this query. I even emailed the dooyoo guide for shopping and never heard from him either!

| Guide pay is so high that they can all afford long holidays.... Seriously, guides have real life to deal with sometimes, and perhaps this has been overlooked.. I am sure Jared will be along and will be reminded tomorrow... | |

| I'm really impressed with the whole suggestions system, I think just about everything I've ever suggested has been added, even from really obscure online sources that can't have been easy to wade through. I just feel a little guilty that I have about 10-20 products in my list that I haven't got round to writing about yet, and paranoid that I read once that members will be restricted from suggesting products if they don't write on too many of them... I should be safe though, right?
Okay, this might not be the most insightful or relevant comment to make, but it's nice to compliment nice things sometimes.

| I tyhink they inserted that provision to prevent people just sugestng products to get the ten miles with no intentin of ever writing a review. Must admit I have never heard of anyone not being allowed to make suggestons due to abuse since it was introduced. | |

True, did you know that some people only ever get a two week holiday in the summer? Seriousley anything less than three weeks in the Maldives and the social services might come and take little Annabella and Tarquin away.
